I am very pleased with this set. I compared these to several other brands - Stabilo, Sakura Micron. Staedtler is the best. The fine point pens are smooth, ink dries quickly, are dark blue and black. They are just the right weight. These pens are thin but not light.The ball point pen is very smooth, and mine writes without a glitch. Someone else said theirs left gobs of ink on the paper. It must be a lemon.I love the pencil. I don't like light-weight pencils (or pens). This one feels solid and sturdy. I like the quality of the lead, very smooth.The highlighter completes the set. I will keep this box in my purse. No need for anything else, besides my fountain pen, which is the only thing I have found to be better than these pens.I am ordering a couple more to give as gifts.

This is a great pens set. The triplus fineliner pens are very dark (black and blue), smooth and the ink dries quickly so they work very well for a left handed person, like me. The highlighter is very helpful and has a nice fine tip. I was pleased to have the roller ball and pencil included. The ink on the roller ball also dries quickly. I do not use ball point pens very much but in my writing test it was very smooth to write with.The black case is great looking and the easel / cover folds up so that I can keep all the pens slotted and have easy access to them with out cluttering up my desk.I would recommend this to left handed people as well anyone who enjoys writing with a good quality writing instrument.

This helped me keep great, organized notes in college- I could take them in pencil, then highlight important details or add extra colors/side notes to diagrams and schematics easily. It also kept everything organized in my backpack and many people commented on the set when I had it propped open on a table. That said, I found it far more useful after swapping a few more colored fineliners in.-I've actually been using this pencil for longer than I've had the set, it is the best mechanical pencil I've ever used. It's tip-heavy and has a great balance and grip. The eraser is fantastic and lasts a lot longer than you'd expect.-The rollerball is very light and the ink is smooth and very fast-drying (being left-handed, this is sometimes hard to find).-The ballpoint pen has a slightly rubbery texture to it and is rather tip-heavy. The ink is not too smooth, but the line is quite thin and precise, for a ballpoint pen.-The fineliners are great. They will bleed thru some thinner papers/notebooks, but seem to last forever, don't dry out easily and feel great in the hand. I found them excellent for adding notes/different colored lines to sketches and graphs.-The highlighter was the only letdown in the set. As a highlighter, it was ok, but it smelled terrible every time I would open the cap, and the tip tended to pick up ink from what I highlighted, leading to some oddly colored streaks later on.My only issue with the set itself was the selection; you end up with 3 things with black ink. Personally, I found it much more versatile and useful (and I feel like I took better notes) after I swapped out the ballpoint pen and the highlighter for a red and a green fine liner.

This product by is exactly what it is advertised as, a mobile office. There are various types of pens (roller-ball, ballpoint and felt tip) a mechanical pencil and a highlighter. All seem to be of high quality, especially the mechanical pencil which has a metal tip and good weight to it. The best part about the mobile office is that it eliminates the need to wonder what to pack in my backpack whether for school or travel. The case is well made,offers solid protection, and even stands on its own (many people marvel at that. Order this product and as is the case with so many others, you will not be disappointing in the quality of German engineering.

Anything by Staedtler is A+!

I use this set to throw into my briefcase. It travels well and has one of everything I might need. (I end up grading papers in waiting rooms and Starbucks.) Contrary to what another reviewer wrote, the fold-up stand has worked well for me in all five I've bought (for multiple bags and offices). It's not the most beautiful case, but it's functional and handy and the quality of the instruments is great - especially for the price. If you want a lovely desk set, you'll probably need to spend more than 11 bucks. :-)

I love Staedtler pens and this set does not disappoint. The triangle shape of the pens & pencil are easy to hold & very comfortable. These instruments function well doing what they were designed to do. The case is a perfect way to carry these items around.
