Definitely did not like very cheaply made my husband said he probably would have killed himself if he actually kept them so we ended up sending them back

Having never owned or used tree-climbing gear before, this gear worked as I had hoped. The instructions were not the best, but they were good enough to get you up the tree without killing yourself. I must admit it was a learning experience, even with the instructions. I wouldn't have climbed the tree without them. The gear is heavy, but that is expected because all the safety gear I've used over the years is robust. This kit is no different. Without any climbing experience, I can find no fault with this gear, and compared to some safety gear I used, it is inexpensive. If I find something adverse, I'll update this review.

Bought this for my husband who is a tree climber and it's caused him terrible lower back pain. Not the best value for your money.

The harness is good it feels nice and secure. The steel core flip line works as it should. The climbing spikes are made CHEAP!!!! I used them four times and the flat bar connecting boot to shin broke in half while being 40ft in a pine tree. 1/10 would NOT recommend. Buy the other parts individually.

This climbing gear fit me well, I am around 5'11" and 220 lbs and didn't have any issues putting it on or not fitting me. I am a rookie when it comes to tree climbing, I have done it one other time but that was years ago. I did climb up a tree got about 15' up the tree and then trimmed a few small branches and got down. It was rather scary; however, I didn't slip or fall and hurt myself so that is always a plus! When I have more time and the weather cooperates, I plan to get the gear back out and climb a few more trees that need some branches trimmed.
