I love this compost bin. Just the right size for the countertop. Holds quite a bit and keeps an odor from escaping. It cleans up very easily. I like the way the inner basket drains the liquid which helps keep things from getting mushy or moldy until you empty it. Price was a winner also.

Perfect counter top compost bin! I wanted a small compost bin that I could utilize on the counter while cutting up vegetables etc. I also wanted it to have a lid so I could use it for a few days without having fruit flies until it could be taken outside to our larger compost area. This definitely fit the bill! It is made of a sturdy silicone material that has an airtight lid and a removable inner basket with drainage holes. It is approximately 8.5" tall x 6.75 " wide. The inner basket is approximately 8" deep. I usually leave the inner basket in place when taking it outside to prevent leaking. I was worried that it might be too small but it's really a great size and holds a several days worth of vegetable and fruit cuttings with no smell as the lid is airtight. I don't see a need for a bin with a filter as this works exactly as described and is easy to manage. I use it as an intermediate holding place for compost waste and empty it every few days. It is very easy to rinse out and reuse.

Nice little bin for the kitchen counter. Large enough to survive a big cooking project. Lid seals well. I like the inner drain basket. Washes clean and doesn't hold smell.

Product is a good size to keep on my countertop. The lid has a tight seal which keeps bugs out and odors in. The square shape of the product allows it to fit nicely in the refrigerator if needed.

Subtle, in a marble countertop with off white cabinets, it goes un noticed. Blends in well. Holds up to 1 to 2 days of kitchen waste - perfect size. Can carry out to tumbler without getting your hands dirty and regularly emptying leaves no smell. Excellent quality.

We've been putting our food scraps in open plastic containers on the kitchen counter. My husband would make regular trips out to the garden with them, but they were unsightly and attracted little gnats. I finally got tired of looking at them, and ordered this. We ordered the larger size which is quite handy because we use a lot of fruits and vegetables. We can fill this bin in 2 or 3 days. It is convenient and looks so much nicer than the open plastic containers. It is lightweight, easy to fill, and has a tight-fitting lid and a handle for easy removal. The inner basket does have holes in the bottom, so we have to take the whole bin outside to avoid leakage on the counter and floor. There is no odor and it looks great on the kitchen counter without taking up too much precious counter space. It does take both hands to remove the basket because of the tight suction. I don't know how much composting it will do on its own because we probably won't leave the scraps in there long enough to begin composting, but it works great for our needs.

It's a good compost bin. It has solid composition and a nice design. It is air tight, has good capacity, and does what its supposed to. HOWEVER -- I once grabbed the compost bin from the side handle (the one that looks like a water pitcher handle), instead of the basket handle, and the compost bin fell out of my hand, dumping LEACHATE all over my kitchen floor. It took me 3 hours to clean and I almost passed out from the smell (only half joking). The side handle holds the inner basket which is supposed to hold the solids and separate them from the liquids. It would have been nice if there was a disclaimer about holding the bin from this part when it is full, but there was not. I do like the compost bin, and I learned my lesson. So I will be keeping it and being cautious with it. But buyer, please beware. Do NOT hold your compost bin if it has any contents in it from the side handle. You will very likely spill compost juice all over your floors.

I had a few bins before, they were all an annoyance to clean, if even possible. Other models often have nasty nooks and crevices, multiple materials that don't like water, and thus get damaged by usage really quickly and keep up smells... Ridiculously convoluted systems to open the lid, fix on a wall or "eliminate odors" (aka have a stupid basket where you are supposed to put some chemical bar in, but it dips in the compost material so it always gets dirty and often doesn't stay close so you lose your bar anyway). This one is the opposite. It's a one-part plastic bucket with a one-part plastic handle, a one-part plastic strainer with simple feet to leave a bit of space to not dip your bag in any potential liquid drain, and a one-part plastic lid that just sits on top. With the compostable bag, the lid become airtight enough to keep any odors inside. Because it's all rounded shapes with no complicated parts, it's as easy to clean as a big bowl that it is. 10/10 would recommend and buy again.
