BlackButterfly Tailored 3/4 Sleeve Bolero

I ordered this bolero to alter for a Marie Antoinette costume. I love the stand collar, it really adds a little extra elegance to the piece, I’m 5’8 and 155 lbs and ordered an 8 and it’s both tight enough to give a tailored look and loose enough for comfort. The material is stretch, for some reason I had assume it was going to be satin, but I thought the fabric lends itself to both casual and dressier events

This bolero makes me feel elegant and fancy. It has some give. It is very versatile. I bought it so I could wear camisoles and sundresses to work. It's the perfect cover-up. It is cut slightly too short in the back so if you are wearing a dress that's low cut in the back, you will be able to see the very bottom of your bra. Nit a big deal, but it was a good thing I checked myself in the mirror before leaving the house and jaunting off to work. I'm in between a US size 18 and 20, so I ordered the 20. When it arrived, the tag said 5x. Kinda hurt my feelings 😕, but nevertheless, the bolero is my favorite garment, and I wear it often. It is very comfortable. Oh, and one more thing, if your elbows are not moisturized, the fabric will rub them and feel like your elbow skin is being picked at or pulled. I thought that was strange.

I loved the material hated that when I lifted my arms it showed everything I was trying to hide. Needs to be like 2-3 inches longer in back but it had perfect arm length

I liked the overall style: the shortness allows dress accents like a corset to show in the back, the 3/4 sleeves are a comfortable length, the front has a petal-like look that allows bodice details to show, and the neckline elegantly rises to be a little higher in the back. The mid-weight fabric is almost crisp with a little stretch, and looks best with a light pressing.I wear a petite size 2-4 in tops, and the 4 fit well in the sleeves and front. The back fit a little strangely for me, bunching up a bit behind the armpits (wish I could use a fancier word for those since we're speaking of classy things to wear, but there's only "axillae", which I only know because of thesaurus.com).I returned it for the color; it's a true cool gray without sheen, and looked drab next to the silver metallic accents on my dress. I think it would complement a plainer dress very well.

I bought this to go with a formal gown and I’m so glad I did. It was comfortable all night and didn’t wrinkle. The sleeves hit me just below the elbow and the jacket went down in the back to about my bra line. Based on other reviews, I sized up and the fit was perfect. The collar is even cuter in person and because of the good quality material, it can either lay flat down, popped, or you could fold and press it to make a little lapel. Highly recommend for the price!

I ordered a size 4 which is my normal size and it was a bit too tight. It looked nice but I felt like the Hulk in it. Returned and ordered a size larger. The material is stiff and needs a good ironing before wearing with an outfit.UPDATE: Upon receiving the larger size I realize they are two completely separate items. This was a mistake on the shippers part, sending me the wrong bolero. The size 4 that was returned was a short cap sleeve made of a shimmery satin material that had no stretch in an off white color. The size 6 that I received is a 3/4 sleeve true ivory color made of a softer knit material that has a lot of stretch. Looking back on the description of this item the picture shows what I received the second time but the description is of the short cap sleeve one I received the first time. If you don't mind a little mystery go ahead and order a size or two up from your true size as they run quite small. The size 6 in this new material is too tight in the arms. Had I been sent the correct item the first time I could have better judged the correct size needed but now it is too close to the event to send it back and order a third time.

This is an adorable piece and it’s fantastic for any dress that you need to add some warmth to. Well made and would but un more colors for sure.

D'après les commentaires j'ai pris 2 tailles au dessus. Effectivement l'elastane rend le matériel étroit et très fin, légèrement brillant. Je trouve cela un peu cher. La prochaine fois j'irai en magasin.

I’m usually about a 10/12 - because I did not want to take any risks with online sizing and stuff I just ordered the largest size available with the mindset I’d tailor it down to fit me better. FUN FACT! I don’t need to tailor this down at all. Apparently XXXXXXLRG translates to size 10/12 in internet land.It’s a cute top, comfort is meh, fabric is meh, value for money is meh. If you do have any doubts on sizing ordering a size up and tailoring down is a lot easier than second guessing and returning because it’s too small.

Ist so wie auf dem Bild. Elastisch so kommt man gut rein und raus. Die Lieferung sehr schnell. Würde es immer wieder bestellen
