I have been craving a Filipino 'street food' dish called 'binatog' of which the main ingredient is hominy corn! I have been looking and looking so that I can make some whenever the craving strikes but didn't want a 800g odd can of it...I have seen this about but the reviews have never mentioned whether or not it has gone through the nixtamalization process which gives hominy that texture I love when eating binatog! Took the risk and according to the back of the packet IT HAS!! Yay (:Attached: photo of the back of the product, prior to cooking, cooked and as binatog (simply mixed with grated coconut and sugar or condensed milk).Yet to try presoaking before cooking as I was too excited 🤭Delivery was great, arrived the next day.Price is a bit steep for how much you get but great if you just want to try it out before getting the 2kg pack that they do which I think I'll get next time as it is more economical!

These are difficult to obtain, so was very pleased with the product that arrived. Do follow the soaking instructions. Cooked well in sausage based stew and the whole was very tasty. Delivery and packaging were both good.

I decided to make Grits, just out of curiosity. Never again.. It's only suitable for gitting the road when it's icy..... sorry.

Totally in love with this product, I am Mexican and I love pozole and this is a very good substitute of maiz small pieces but the same flavour I highly recommend it definitely I will get it again in a bigger pack.
