Very quiet on 5V
I've been using these to cool Raspberry Pi SBCs in custom 3D-printed cases and wanted complete silence but enough air moving to actually do something. Running these from 5V provides a gentle but useful breeze, and I can't hear them from more than 5cm away.I haven't run one from 12V so can't comment on the noise level at full voltage, but they really are whisper quiet at 5V. Highly recommended.

lovely and quiet
A perfect quiet replacement for a loud hard drive fan. Peace at last.

Good solid fan, rubber mountings are fiddly
Cheap, effective and quiet, which is exactly what I was looking for. Others here claim they are reliable - I can't really comment yet, but I'll come back and adjust this view if it turns out to be wrong. Not quite hitting 5 stars though, as installation with the supplied rubber fan mounts was a real fiddle. One side of the mounts fits neatly into the holes left in my case where the screws would go if screw mounting. The other side has to go into the fan, and considering they were designed for each other, you'd think that would be easy. Not so - some of the mounts popped in easily, some were nearly impossible to get through. Eventually, after blistering my fingers, I resorted to using silicone lubricant spray and some needle-nose pliers, which worked fairly easily. Not sure what I would have done if I didn't have the silicone, though.Maybe I got a bad batch, or maybe I'm missing an obvious trick that makes this job easy that isn't mentioned in the instructions. Either way, now I've got the knack of it, it wouldn't stop me buying this fan again.

Brilliant quiet fan
Took over this machine years ago and had replaced everything but the case and fans over the years. It has always been very noisy due to the fans - I put this down to the sheer amount of air being moved. One of the fans failed recently so I bought these Gelid fans as replacement. The temperature is staying well down and I can hear the hard disk head movements for the first time ever. What a relief - I should have done this year's ago.

Good product.
EDIT 19 MAY 2020I'm still using this fan, and have been almost daily since I bought it.Very quick delivery, less than 24 hours after I got the dispatch email, it arrived at my door.Comes with 4 rubber mounts, but they were a bit difficult to install with, but I got it done nonetheless. This fan is a relatively slow fan operating at about 1000rpm, so that's why it is a "silent fan."When the fan is operational I can barely hear it over the sound of my other case fans.Very good product, very good quality for that price, will buy again if need be.

Was actually nosier than the fan I was replacing because it was noisy 🤷♂️

Runs far too hot
The motor ran incredibly hot and the RPM would fluctuate. but mostly would be ok for a bit and then slowly would come down till it stopped completely which was quite disappointing as I wanted this fan for extra cooling along my RAM. So sat the fan on top of the GPU and used the provided screws as feet, so it could bring in fresh air. (GPU has a backplate so all was fine)At first it was able to hit over 3K RPM but then it overheated and barely kept over 1K and would hold 600-800 RPM for a moment and then it'd drop and then just stop.I do have a lot of fresh air running through my system, but was curious if a dedicated fan would help. Temps aren't massively bad but I like to keep things as cool as possible, especially when running a heavy workload, temps peak to around 49c. Went for the 50mm as that was enough to cover the 4 DIMM slots, so if I ever need to go back to 64 GB, the fan would still be ok. This is a tad disappointing, given Gelid's track record of good cooling. Hopefully this was just a dud but can only review what I had and your mileage may vary. Also when I say I get plenty of air going through my system, I have 13 fans that run from 900-1500 RPM depending on temps.

Excellent Fan for Hot-end Fan Replacement on 3D Printer
Wanted a new fan on the hot-end for my Ender 3 Pro, wanted something quieter. Didn't want to pay $13 for a Noctua fan, so looked around a bit and found these fans by Gelid Solutions on Amazon. Same size, within 1db of the Noctua, but only $7.50. Added benefit that it's a hydro-bearing which should last forever compared to sleeve or ball bearing. 4200rpm @ 12vdc, whereas the Noctua is 4500/3700 RPM. This Gelid has a slightly more aggressive fan design so in comparing with my hand (no science here) it seems to put out as much or slightly more air than the Noctua. I will also say it's dead silent, I thought my Ender 3 Pro was off, so hit the power, and turned it off.... Added benefit (to me) is that it's a black fan housing with white blades, looks way nicer than the brown Noctua.

A Easy Fix!
Installed in 30 seconds. Rubber attachments make it so easy to install without tools. Both family Desk top computers went from sounding like a baseball card in bike spokes to a whisper white noise. Well worth the price and time

Work very well!
Any other reviews that say these don't work well clearly did something wrong. I got these for use to cool My x570 Dark Hero chipset, and 3080ti... These dropped my 3080ti temps 10-12 degrees at both idle and full load. Idle temps are 29-30c load temps are a max of 76.8c ( all according to HWinfo )Chipset temps are idle 45c max of 69c ( passive chipset )These fans in short are worth the money! I plan on getting two more of these for backups and future builds... Very handy and good product! Not silent, but not too noisy
Had to replace the stock fan in an SSD enclosure, so I was limited in the thickness I could work with. The stock fan (which was on the verge of failure after 3+ years) is notorious for being a bit noisy, and I was hoping the Gelid would be notably quieter. It may be a bit quieter, but the enclosure is still audible from under my desk. Still, it's a small fan, and it has to turn reasonable RPMs to do a decent job cooling - in the end, I'd rather have the SSDs run at lower temps and not risk failure.
