Are these plates compatible with the F38 system as well?

If you want to switch between F22 and F38 system, you need buy a accessory which named F22 & F38 QR Plate. Hope this helps.

I see the video on how to tighten the tilt, but how can you tighten the panning (left,right) motion? Rotating the side knob does not effect panning.

Have you tried mounting the positioning posts on top of the Plate? This can effectively prevent deflection. You can see the graphic description of "Anti-deflection Design" in the Product Description. Hope this helps.

How am i able to tighten the panning motion? i have an atomos monitor on it and it pans very easily, so in use it often moves accidentally.

I am wondering the same. It’s very loose when it rotates horizontally, 360 degrees. Is there a fix or way to tighten so it doesn’t happen so easily? The videos make it look much tighter than it actually is. I found the dual ball head magic arm worked much better.
