not much to say, product works great. breathed new life into my 10 year old tent. 100% worth the money if you want to care for your camping gear. i will say it sprays poorly, but its not gonna matter cause you have to use a rag to spread it across the gear surface any way

Getting the kit makes this process much easier. I have a very large 6-person tent, so I needed to get an extra water proofing spray. For most sub 6-person tents it should be enough in this kit. The cleaner is more convenient to use than a multi-purpose cleaner and comes off easier than something you'd use in your house. I highly recommend doing the cleaning and water proofing with the tent damp. Not dripping wet, but damp to the touch. That'll help with spreading out the product and getting it to stay put instead of rolling off.

I used this on a Marmot 2-3 person tent and it seemed to cover most of it - except I didn't have enough waterproofing to do the bottom of the tent. I could have used too much. It seemed to clean the outside well as my rag was getting dirty. It didn't clean up mildew stains but I didn't expect it to. The clear coat waterproofing made my hands feel like it has wax in it. Overall it dried well and I think it will work good.

I grew up camping in my dad’s 2 person Eureka Timberline. As long as I can remember, I called it the barf tent. It smelled awful, so we always aired it out or washed it with soap before going on trips. It helped a little but the smell was always there. After taking it to many national parks and backpacking adventures over 30 years, I decided to read up on how to fix it. I used the two treatments in this pack. I followed the instructions carefully and gave the tent a good long soak, which we had done many times before. The magic happened when applying the spray wash; the smell faded as we sprayed it on. Now the nostalgic, awful smell of the tent is entirely gone for the first time. My dad was amazed. The tent itself is getting brittle with age and won’t be going further than the backyard anymore, but I’m so glad I could restore a family heirloom to better than before. My mom has plans now to restore their larger 4 person Timberline with this kit as well. The bottles had leaked a tiny bit in the packaging, but not enough to do anything but get the bottles wet.

Bought them as a set to refresh my gear after a few backpacking seasons. Instructions are printed small, but novice you blow them up are quite clear.

The solarwash was able to remove stains from my yellow Shimoda bag that a normal wipe wasn’t able to remove. The solarproof is great, as soon as it dried down, you can actually feel the difference with this on.

These are amazing!!! My tent and canopy started leaking after one use for a camping trip that last 3 days. I sprayed them with these and they cleaned nicely and resisted the water nicely. I stayed dry for my next camping trip!

Let’s face it : every tent says it’s water resistant. That’s fine until the sky decides to go full apocalypse and test your seams like they owe it money. Some tents have decent coatings. Some have weak ones. And more often than not, the floor has a different rating than the canopy. That’s where smart people start adding a second line of defense. This spray is that defense. The Nikwax Solarproof is water-based — which is a huge deal for me. I don’t want to mess with something flammable or toxic, especially when I’m sleeping in it. You just clean the tent, spray it on while it’s still damp, and then wipe the excess with a towel. (I personally go with microfiber — it spreads better and doesn’t scratch anything.) I’ve used it before on other tents. This time it’s on my main one, and I’ll be testing it during a rainy weekend up north. Can’t lie — I already feel more confident just knowing it’s coated. Anyway, if you’re the kind of camper who actually cares about keeping gear in top shape, this is a no-brainer. Also : is there a better sound than rain hitting the canopy while you’re warm inside? Five stars.

I purchased this product on the recommendation of a friend. I have used it on multiple items and they have come out waterproof again. The instructions are clear. Good for multiple washes. I will be purchasing again.

Works as described, hoping this will give my older tent a few more seasons. Rained on first trip after treating and could tell it made a difference.

Great product. Revived my 10 year old tent back to life. It cleansed well and protected well!

We went camping and for stuck in the middle of a rain storm. Thank goodness for this product we didn't get one leak. As well the previous year we went we had moisture coming in our tent and condensation but this year we were completely dry.
