My kids LOVED this book and I reluctantly agreed to read it to them. Fortunately, even I found it hilarious. A great read.

My children asked me to pre order Tom Mitchell’s latest book and were so thrilled when it arrived. They have loved reading the latest adventure. If your child loves mystery, humour and a page turning relevant, exciting read do buy this book! It follows the adventures of a boy called Col and his friend Lucy who want to discover the strange goings on in their town. My 11 year old, 9 year old and 7 year old all love this book and Tom’s series. Couldn’t recommend enough.

My ten year old has been flying through this book, he loves it. It's funny and entertaining, I often find him chuckling away as he's reading.He's very picky with books so finding this one has been wonderful. Would definitely recommend!

This is another brilliant book from Tom Mitchell. I love his writing style, especially the humour! I felt I was actually there with them in the graveyard. Hope we don’t have to wait too long for the next adventure.

Both my sons love Tom Mitchell’s books. My youngest, now 10, couldn’t wait for this new book and is currently devouring it. Perfect to get them off a screen and into a book.

I loved this book! It had been sitting on my shelf since I won it in a Twitter giveaway, back when Twitter was Twitter and a good place to be!I can’t believe I waited so long to read this. It is exactly the reason why, even though I’m an adult, I love to read middle grade books. The adventure was fabulous, getting right into the nitty gritty, and the characters were well developed. I can’t say I particularly warmed to Col to begin with, but he had a strong character arc through the story, and I more than appreciated the verbal slap Stones gave him!The book has just the right amount of humour and I love the little side comments from the author… almost as if he is sitting in the room telling the story verbally.I definitely recommend this book, and this author! 5 stars!
