More functionality than advertised!
I got this product on a long shot, based on some Reddit suggestions. I was looking for Rock Band 3 guitars. The product descriptions and Question and Answer areas seem to actively avoid or in some cases clearly state this guitar doesn’t work with Rock Band 3. So, on a whim, I ordered it, hooked it up and “insert triumphant air guitar sound here” it works just fine with Rock Band 3 on ps3. It also functions with the other games as stated. The build quality seems about on par with the official equipment with a bit better whammy bar, but just a hair floatier strum bar. The buttons appear to react quickly and I can confidently say that anything that I missed was almost certainly due to my own poor performance.Overall, apart from the slightly loose feel of the strum, the only reason for the 4 stars is that it seems a bit steep in price. Especially considering the need for 4 AA batteries. Had it been rechargeable, it may have been more understandable. If your having a Nostalgia trip and getting the virtual band back together though, it’s a great buy!

For relatively cheap, it's relatively good
I'd always thought guitar hero was a cool concept but I'd only played Unplugged VR. I was a bit turned away by the price but I went ahead and bought it. I was reading some of the reviews after I ordered it (bad practice) and they were talking about all kinds of different problems which made me nervous. It showed up and I put it all together and, after some issues connecting it to my PC (you have to push the button under the D pad so the blue lights on the guitar light up), I mapped it all out in clone hero. And it works, that's all I needed. But it is not without flaw. Firstly, I wish the buttons were remappable so I could make the keys Z-X-C-V-B instead of Lshift-Z-X-C-V because it requires some messing around with sticky keys and I would just prefer it if they were all letters. Also, the strap that comes with it is just terrible, I will be attempting to substitute my own. All in all, if you need an alright control for clone hero, you've got it right here

Decent but needs mapping
Easy to set up despite the included manual being in some of the most broken English you'll ever read.I saw some reviews stating that whammy/tilt didn't work with Clone Hero but they just need to be mapped in the controls, they should respond just fine when setting it to "whammy axis+" and "star power" in the settings.

Good if you don’t wanna spend more on a original one
The guitar works fine in my ps3 and connects almost every single time first try but the battery compartment is kinda finicky and the batteries sometimes want to pop out of place if battery cover is not on. Other than that guitar works well.

Works decently if u play on expert don't work as good as a wired version
The media could not be loaded. It works good for anyone that plays on medium on expert it dont like it when u gotta strum and hit multiple notes fast apart from each other does hammer one very well but in between notes like sweet child of mine song it won't register or like beast in the harlett I'm not the best in the world by no means but I can beat TTFAF ON expert can hit 93 percent of the notes have multiple videos iv made in the past On xbox also wanted to mention im playing clone hero but also own GH3 from the web I have same issue with both games but all in all beats using a Keyboard ... I am on PC using RTX 3060 paired with i7 12700H so no kind of lag what so ever for system Requirements I am split between happy and sad with this product sometimes it works well if it's a easy song and bad on the harder ones but also bad when it comes to hitting multiple bar chords (more than 1 Button at a time blue green red at same time then strum for example) like switching between 2 or three different bar chords in between it will lose my multiplier and miss the second or third strum or bar chord .. it drives me crazy on song I know I have 100% in the past Gold 5 Star ! And I'm missing notes on a song that easy just because of the guitar and yes this is after it has been calibrated running on a 144hz Moniter and sometimes my TV of course recalibrate switching from one screen to the next but same issue either way ... u see in the video I have no problem but those are mostly hammer one and pull offs but later I'll make one of sweet child of mine and update this post I would rate a 5 star if I only played on medium bc I know I wouldent have the problem I have been having LoL

Works great but has a struggle to connect (PS3)
The media could not be loaded. So I wanted a PS3 to modify and play tons of games on it. Got most games downloaded and got guitar hero 3 on there.Got the game, now I just needed the guitar, right?I wanted to suprise my wife, she loves guitar hero from playing it back in her childhood. Showed her the package as it arrived and we were HYPED!!We set it up and plugged the dongle in, batteries placed and ready to go!However, as soon as I plugged a dongle in for ONE guitar, the dongle blinking/searching while my guitar flashedThey connect, then would disconnect, trying to find eachother again. This happened a LOT and I don’t know what the deal is with it. We shut them off, unplug the dongle, replug & turn it on again, we even swapped dongles to see if it somehow would work. There was no direct answer whats causing this. But it’s still acting up. It managed to became bearavle that we were able to play some songs in it, but it ended up disconnecting Mid-song at times. We had fun, but that doesnt excuse the question of why is it disconnecting a lot?I got a new guitar hero game (still on ps3) to try them out with. However now they no longer are able to remain stable enough to even move within the menu it will always disconnect. So I want to love this guitar, because its new, it CAN work, but instead of it working directly, it just wont stay stable enough to work properly. Im trying anything to fixing this.Just wanted to let people know that this can happen if playing on a PS3, since i know the majority is using it rather for Clone Hero/pc guitar hero
