Offering premium quality, very low odour levels and maximum performance, you can be assured InsOpaint Anti-Condensation Paint will prevent future condensation problems including mould, blistering paint, discolouration, staining and peeling wallpaper – with just 2 coats. It also reduces heat loss. InsOpaint Anti-Condensation Paint is the perfect answer for applications requiring long lasting protection from continuous and severe condensation. Use in kitchens and bathrooms in homes, hotels, schools, universities, restaurants, service stations, gyms, swimming pools and spas. Comes in 24 colours and ships in 5L containers. Product can easily be applied by brush, roller or spray. Use InsOpaint in just the same areas as conventional emulsions. InsOpaint however has a distinct energy-saving advantage and has been scientifically proven to work. We recommend a minimum of two coats to achieve maximum thermal efficiency and three coats on exterior walls, internally. So a 5L tub will cover up to 35 m² with 2 coats. You can wallpaper over InsOpaint and it will continue to provide you with a thermal barrier to reduce the heat lost through the walls and ceilings by reflecting the heat BACK in to the room/building. The same energy-saving results will be obtained by InsOpaint’s thermal barrier, because once it’s been painted on, it keeps working. InsOpaint works well when painted on top of lining paper, wallpaper already painted with another emulsion and non-blown vinyl wallpapers. InsOpaint should not be applied to “blown vinyl” wallpapers which absorb the paint and leave the insulating micro technology as a residue which will later become dispersed. Benefits: Reduces severe condensation problems, Reduces room heat loss & increases comfort, Less energy needed reduces heating bills, Helps prevent unsightly toxic mould, Lowest cost wall & ceiling insulation, Water based so eco friendly.

Paint comes off with the condensation
I am very disappointed with this product I’m only grateful I didn’t pay the full price. I painted three coats of this product on my conservatory wall around six weeks ago, I carefully allowed it to fully dry between coats all was ok until we had a cold spell a couple of weeks ago. Not only didn’t it stop the condensation but now when I wipe it off the paint comes off with it or anything or anyone who happens to touch the wall while it’s damp. As can be seen from the photo the condensation has run down the wall onto the skirting board taking the paint with it.

The answer to my problems
Can’t recommend this paint highly enough. I discovered it after hours of reading reviews for mould/anti condensation paint online. Our bedroom wall suffers terribly and we had put up some special thermal wallpaper but after a few months the mould was appearing on it and I was anxious to remedy it. I cleaned the mould off and over a couple of days applied this paint. It advices three coats and there is plenty in the Tim so I shall add another coat when I get time but happy to report it has worked amazingly. It’s been a couple of months since I painted it and despite the terrible weather no condensation or mould. The texture of the paint is slightly rough to the touch and I think this is what helps prevent the condensation occurring.

Great
Great paint. My husband painted our bedroom which had recurring black mould, we treated the mould with a mould and mildew spray and once it was dry painted the walls. It did take three coats and we let it dry completely in between coats and so far no more mould. Fingers crossed.this continues but so far very pleased as by now we normally have the mould reappearing. The only thing I would comment on is I ordered ivory expecting it to be off white and it is more like a light Sandy colour. I would like to be able to buy a small tester pot for the colours as I would like to do my kitchen with this but don’t want the expense of getting it wrong.

not that good
used this in my living room can not really say its as good as you think it is 25% saving on heat can not really say it made that much difference in combination with all the insulation (floor /ceiling /) may make a difference. but it is an expensive way to insulate a room hard work as you need to put two to three coats onover a day to allow 3/4 dry time for each coat

Warmed up walls
I was dubious about the cost but have covered 3 outfacing walls with 3 coats each and all are noticeably less cold to the touch. The rooms are definitely warmer. This in itself is worth it. Any other benefits remain to be seen over time. I will buy again for remaining rooms.

Mixed bag - does the minimum but not suitable for a final finish coat
Good product previously used in bathroom, very textured surface seems to hold warmth and reduces the amount of condensation. Overcoated with bathroom paint and still looks good a couple years later.Ran out on the next paint job so bought a new tub for living room external walls where we’ve had mould forming in cold spots where air circulation is poor. On application the quality seems to have gone down, wonder whether the contents have settled out in storage. Initial application can be seen in the photos attached, we’ve had to spend ages stirring the tub to lift a thick settlement from the bottom of it, and still having dark patches appear on the walls when drying. At the moment no significant issue for us as we’ll be overcoating with a mid tone colour, however if it shows through or is a very patchy texture I’ll be updating this review!4 stars if no impact on overcoating, but I definitely would not recommend using this product for a final coat finish.

Not worked so far.
Had a problem with condensation and damp patches on the wall. Followed the instructions and got rid of any mould before painting and applied 3 coats of this paint followed by a coat of normal paint as I didn’t want white walls. It’s now a week later and I’ve had paint flaking and peeling off the walls where I’d just painted and discolouration on other parts of the wall. Considering it says on the tin that will ‘solve continuous and severe condensation problems including mould, blistering paint and peeling wallpaper’, it hasn’t made a very good impression so far. Have sanded the flaking paint and so far have applied another 2 coats of this paint on the affected areas but not holding out much hope that it will work any better.

Seems to do what it says on the tin
It is now about four weeks since I painted our loft with Thermilate Insopaint to prevent condensation on the walls and ceiling. No sign of the return of moisture condensing in the loft to date so I think my problem may be resolved. I would like a bit longer without signs to be fully convinced as I have had short term success with other paints, however, I would say there seems to be an increase in the surface temperature of the painted surfaces as claimed.
