Solid Padlock, Laughs at British Weather
Swapped out an old padlock that basically rusted itself shut outside and picked up one of these Master Locks. Needed something that could actually handle being out in the elements, especially with the non-stop rain we seem to get here. Happy to report it's been absolutely fine, locks and unlocks smoothly every time, no signs of seizing up yet. Feels really sturdy too. Spot on, does the job perfectly.

A nice solid lock
Bought to secure some ladder brackets on the wall of the house. It seems to be a nice solid lock, claims to be 10/10 for security level, but more importantly for me is weatherproof as the ladder and brackets are outside on the side of the house, not in a shed or garage. Also, no annoying plastic over the hasp stopping it from getting through the hole on the brackets. So many of the "weatherproof" locks claim to have a hasp the right diameter, but then when you look closer, they've given you the diameter of the metal and not of the plastic covering on top of it so they don't fit. No such issues with this lock, as there's no plastic covering on the hasp, which meant I could buy it relatively safe in the knowledge that it would fit straight away, and it did.

Solid choice.
Seems to be holding up well with no signs of rust after a very wet winter. Cover for keyhole is a bit fiddly to fit tightly. Some discolouration of the black coating from UV, but really who cares? Overall feels solid and reliable.

Best lock used so far
Fantastic lock. Doesn't take much effort to open or relocked it and flap to protect key slot is a flap so doesn't jam or stick. So far preferred spending that little bit more to upgrade to this lock for my garden gate than the previous master

Good, sturdy lock
After the disappointment of numerous other cheap locks for a garden gate that rusted or seized up, I settled on this one.The mechanism is smooth. I'm not convinced the rubber flap covering the keyhole is completely weatherproof, it is a bit flimsy. But this is a good lock.So here's a tip if your lock is going to be outside in all weathers:Get a small ziplock bag, and cover the lock with it. Yes, it really is as simple as that. It keeps the rain off, and you won't find yourself cursing at not being able to open the thing.I've done this for two months now in wet autumn conditions – the lock has stayed dry, and is working perfectly. If you don't want to do that and are fed up with 'weatherproof' locks that don't work, buy a marine grade lock instead. There's no guarantee it'll stand up to freezing temperatures, but it should protect against water ingress. I bought one for the second lock on the gate, and covered it with a ziplock bag too. It's stayed dry and still working nicely.

Perfect for Big Yellow self storage!
After mistakenly buying one of those rectangular sideways padlocks that 'look' hefty, I realised it wouldn't fit the mechanism that Big Yellow use to secure their storage spaces (when I went to have a 1st look at the space). After a bit of internet sleuthing I found this Master Lock (100 year version), which everyone seems to give a big thumbs-up too. Apparently its quite difficult to pick as it has 'spool pins' which deter lock pickers apparently. I doubt any lock is 100% unpickable but I didn't want to spend nearly a ton on a 'professional' lock so I split the difference between a Yale and those Pro locks and brought this. It feels the part and is quite heavy but it fits those storage bay doors perfectly. The shackle isn't sprung so doesn't pop-up like a Yale, etc. So when you unlock; you pull down on the body of the lock to release the shackle. Oh, and its weatherproof too! Five stars from me.
