Reviews will come. >> Cyperus (I bought strictly based on reviews, I was unable to find Santal 33 at a department store or Sephora) it is supposed to be a unisex scent, but it is clearly a men’s fragrance, heavy smoky leather scent… ideal for a man that enjoys smoking a cigar while in a leather chair. I’m not a fan, so i am giving it one star, no idea who I can give it to. >> Escale in Capri, (blind buy) is a man’s cologne, but I feel this could be unisex. Gives a fresh clean, almost soapy scent. Kinda reminds me of Irish spring soap. I really like it, but don’t Love it. >> Gooey Dates (sample), this is the adult version of Lush’s gooey dates. Unlike Lush’s overly sweet intense date smell (not a fan), this scent is actually quite similar yet pleasant, but a little goes a long way. One squirt shared on two wrists was enough for me. Pairs nicely with a vanilla scent. >> Love at first Sniff (blind buy, but I like other Mancera scents), this is beautiful, but I can’t don’t see this as a unisex scent… it goes on too fruity and floral, though that fades and it develops into a nice musky scent. I love it!! But most men might feel it’s too sweet. Might be in my daily rotation… as a beautiful all year round scent. >> Love Sick (DG Devotion)… I was excited to get this. The scent is not as elevated as DG, but is still very pleasant and has become my new daily scent or one I’ll pair with other scents. The first few minutes you are hit with a heavy candied lemon scent, but that fades pretty quickly. What you get is a warm vanilla with a subtle musky Patchouli scent, and a faint hint of lemon. The scent is subtle, but lovely. And has lingering smell many hours later. I am waiting to get Stars (Burbury Her) with a scent of strawberry and will try pairing the two. Review will be coming. >> NoHo Nights, smells lovely, but so new it’s not on their website yet. >> Silken, very similar to original. Will go into the daily rotation. >> Theater No 62 is very similar to my Armani Si. Smells great! Sweet warm but cool spicy, floral, light… not heavy. Great for day or date… might be more a cool weather day scent vs warm day scent. But can definitely wear on a warm summer night. Ships direct, comes nicely packaged and even came with a sample of another scent. >> Only complaints… is having to wait 2 weeks to get them… and there are too many scents to choose from. Between amazon and the twist site, I’ve ordered 16!! Hard not to go overboard when small travel size versions of the originals are the same or higher price as the twist full bottle. I figured I could always to gift some to my niece, sister and friends.

It is one of the limitations of the Amazon review system, or perhaps the way that Twist has asked Amazon to organize its reviews that ALL the Twist fragrances are aggregated for review purposes. This is silly, as someone wanting to make a particular fragrance purchase -- say a clone of Green Irish Tweed (Twist Green No. 41) -- really isn't going to be interested in how good the Baccarat Rouge dupe smells. And there is no way of searching the reviews to zero in on the scents one is interested in. I am sure many customers have been happy with one dupe from a company only to find that a different product from the same company misses the mark. The following are short reviews of all the Twist products that I have. Don't know what that does to the "Star Rating" System -- Getting three stars for Twist Wild One No. 71 (a Sauvage clone that isn't close on the dry-down, IMHO) doesn't really have anything to do with a five star review for Twist Red Velvet No. 4 (Baccarat Rouge) or Twist Green No. 41 (Green Irish Tweed) that are really pretty good in my limited experience. Twist Noir No. 32 (five stars) and Twist Black No. 24 (five stars): I have never smelled Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather or Ombre Leather, so I can't rate how close these scents are to those fragrances. I can say, though, that they are wonderful in its own right. "Delicious" was the first word that came to mind. This is not for someone who wants to smell cloyingly sweet -- this scent evokes a sense of gravitas, of seriousness of purpose. For lack of a better description, this is a scent for grownups -- it is sophisticated and nuanced. I have recently been testing out a dozen or so affordable scents including several from Twist. These, and Twist Cyperus No. 60 and Red Velvet No. 4 are leading the pack as real surprises. Affordable and -- most importantly -- not cheap smelling. Twist River No. 64. Solid four stars. It is supposed to be a Creed Silver Mountain Water clone and it smells very close. I just don't happen to favor the original scent! Not Twist's fault. Same with Twist Wood No. 28. It is very close to Tom Ford's Oud Wood, but I don't love Oud as a fragrance note, even if I do love TF's Suede scents. Just personal taste, there. I am fairly new to this world, so I didn't know I'd have these reactions until after purchasing the products. Hey, it's a journey . . . Twist Napoli No. 7 is supposed to be an Aventus clone. Three stars here. My sample of Aventus has A LOT of citrus in the opening - the Creed product is sharp and bold. The Napoli No. 7 is going for something similar, but doesn't quite get there. It just smells like a weaker version. The ad-copy for all the products says "long lasting" -- I don't really know what to make of that. All the ones I have tried seem like 3-4 hour scents. That isn't "long lasting" to me. It is somewhere in between the manly-man old school aftershaves (Pinaud: say, 2 hours) and the big money products (Chanel Blue: all day) or the UAE scents from Armaf or Afnan (definitely all day, but not necessarily in a good way). I am giving Twist five stars overall because I like what they are doing. The products come well packaged, the bottles have a minimalist, attractive design, and the value is a good one on a dollars-per-ounce basis. Customer service is responsive and personal. Bottom line: an interesting company turning out a pretty high quality, good value product, with many more hits than misses in my book. And it's working for me as I keep ordering new ones. I have Twist Salt No. 75 poking its way across the country right now, about which I have high hopes as I know I like the original Jo Malone scent.

I’ve been wearing Twist - Napoli No. 7 for a few weeks now, and overall I’m really impressed. This fragrance gives off a clean, bold, and fresh vibe that’s perfect for daytime wear, especially in spring and summer. What I Love: The citrus and fruity notes are vibrant without being overpowering, and the overall scent is very pleasant and well balanced. It lasts a good amount of time on the skin — plenty of hours before needing a touch-up. I’ve received a few compliments from friends and family, and it definitely smells more expensive than the price tag suggests. The bottle design is sleek and feels nice to display on my dresser. Why It’s 4 Stars Instead of 5: While it’s very close to Aventus, it’s not an exact match — which some buyers will be totally fine with, but I wanted to mention it since that’s part of the product description. The scent can lean a little fresh/citrusy for my taste in cooler weather, so it’s not as versatile year-round as I’d hoped. Overall, this is a great value fragrance with a confident, fresh profile. If you love citrusy, invigorating scents and want something that channels Aventus vibes without the steep price, this is definitely worth trying!

Review for Amalfi: Great dupe for TF Neroli Portofino in scent and comprable longevity. Neither is long lasting on me. The projection on both are virtually faded after a couple hours, but TF fades more slowly thereafter. After six hours, you can still barely smell them both if you put your nose on the skin and take a big strong whiff. At six hours the TF base smells more sweet musky and the Amalfi base is a light powdery floral. I actually prefer the Amalfi base. Either option you need to reapply if you want the smell to be there all day and I personally feel more at ease carrying an affordable Twist bottle in my bag than a TF bottle. Amalfi is a great name as this truly smells like a childhood summer beach day if you grew up in the 70’s and 80’s. Not exactly sure why, but that’s the evoked memory. The bottle is very simple and minimalistic styling and comes in a very cute gift able box. It isn’t TF luxury packaging, but it’s not $450 either. Price is insanely affordable compared to TF. Twist Amalfi is less than the tax paid for the TF version. That blows my mind. Don’t think I could justify splurging on TF again. Not in this economy. This is my first Twist fragrance purchase, and I will definitely be trying more. Hope the others are wins too. Update: I was able to make Amalfi stick around for 12 hours by layering it generously with Vaseline!

So, this is my second bottle from Twist and I can say that Twist is now my new favorite perfume brand as well as my go-to when looking for a perfume now. This one is fresh and clean with a warm, soft base that is just yummy. The other scent I have is Billy No. 117, and THAT one is now my signature scent, especially in the fall and winter months. It's warm, spicey, woody, and I've gotten so many compliments! The scents last all day, they change slightly as you wear them like high quality perfume does. I've also looked into the inspiration from each bottle, and the inspiration scent is always SO expensive, so I know I'm getting a deal. Plus the bottles are a good size, they're also very esthetically pleasing. I wear one of these every day to work. Sometimes I'll wear both! They're easily layered it seems, the scent profiles are so clear that it's like a little scent journey for your nose 😅 Couldn't recommend more!

I am a huge Chanel fan and I happen to have a bottle of Chance Eau Tendre to directly compare this "inspired by" fragrance. Here is what I found. I put Twist on one wrist and Chance on the other to get the best direct comparison possible. The fragrances are similar for sure at first spray. They hit many of the same notes fresh out of the bottle but the dry down on me shows definite differences. Chanel is very soft, more floral, and lacking citrus pith sharpness. This Twist perfume is sharper by far and has way stronger bitter citrus notes. The longevity is good but I did get increasing sharpness over time that started to smell a bit chemically to my nose, similar to citronella/bug spray. The Chanel stayed soft throughout the day and tapered off in smell gradually. I actually think the Twist has more longevity but since it strays toward chemical weirdness on my skin, I don't think that's a good thing. Sorry, I'm not great at explaining scents but long/short is that Twist is sharp and more citrusy (think white kinda bitter part of the citrus) and Chance is soft and a bit more florally if that makes sense, and the longer they stay on my skin, the more the differences in the scent profiles are evident. The balance of the perfumes is way different. So here is what I came to conclusion of: Chanel is worth the money in comparison to this less expensive inspired by version for me personally. I don't hate the Twist version per se, and in fact I like it right out of the bottle, but the chemical bug spray-ish scent that comes out over time is a bit off-putting to me. This might not apply to everyone and might just be a reaction to my skin chemistry so don't completely rule out this version if you really want to try it for the price. It is not an exact dupe by a long shot but when first sprayed, does have a pleasant scent. I think personally I will retire the Twist and stick with the real deal. It might work well as a linen or air freshener spray, which is something I'll try out so I don't have to totally waste it. You can't beat the cost of Twist and it would be a great value if you find a scent that does work for you. I was very impressed with the bottle and the extra mini bottle sample of a scent that I received with the Twist perfume. You can tell they are a serious company trying their best to make inspired scents and they put effort into the packaging to make your experience receiving it very positive. This particular scent just happened to be a miss for me but I am not ruling them all out and I might try more in the future. I hope this helps someone wondering if they should take the hit to their pocketbook and head out to Chanel or order this and hope for a better scent match/skin chemistry match with this version.

I ordered Twist Eau de Parfum – Addicted (Inspired by YSL Black Opium) and couldn’t be happier with my purchase. While the package took a little over a week to arrive on the East Coast, it made perfect sense once I realized it shipped directly from the manufacturer in California—and it was so worth the wait. The packaging was stunning and thoughtfully done. The box arrived carefully wrapped in a beautiful light blue bubble wrap bag, delicately monogrammed with the company name. Inside, the parfum was further protected with generous layers of honeycomb wrap. Once unwrapped, I found a gorgeous blush pink box with a magnetic closure. Inside, the glass bottle of fragrance was securely nestled in a soft cushion insert—very luxe and well-presented. Now for the scent: Addicted smells incredible. If you love YSL Black Opium, you will not be disappointed—this fragrance smells identical. Warm, rich, and addictive in the best way. As a lovely bonus, the package also included a tiny “try a new scent” sample called Gooey Dates, which smells like a caramel, buttery dessert—absolutely delicious and such a fun surprise. I will definitely be purchasing from this seller again and can’t wait to explore more of my favorite scents that they’ve recreated. Don’t hesitate on this one—you’ll love it! Oh, and its made in the USA 🇺🇸

Deuce No. 52 based on Yves Saint Laurent Tuxedo Overall ― It’s a dense and boozy vanilla; isn’t light, airy or sweet, just carries itself as laid–back, rich, not necessarily dark but with depth and socially contrasting complexity that might be associated with “typical rich and shallow people,” “daddy’s money,” “old”, “old money,” “classic rich old ladies,” “every present–day grannies who were considered ‘sexy’ and ‘captivating’ in the 80s and early 90s,” “cocky lawyers,” “insufferable rich lawyers,” “unapologetically rich,” “legally blonde’s overly rich parents and McMansion.” The only reason why I don’t give this a full 5 star is because I was in the market for a better balance of warm vanilla and fresh notes, which this doesn’t come quite as close. Profile “What category does this belong to on Michael Edward’s fragrance wheel?” ― Soft Amber* [May 4th edit]. Expect it to be strong and intense on vanilla and musk. Highlights “What notes are most noticeable or detectable regardless of all other criteria?” ― Tuxedo’s Fragrantica’s profile indicates prominence of bourbon vanilla, violet leaf, patchouli and ambergris. My bottle came close to this profile with additional, not–so–subtle hint of musky powder, very feminine but isn’t light or airy, more of “that old rich lady’s perfume.” I don’t want to say it’s old, granny–type since it isn’t that and may even lean masculine on some people, but it’s definitely mature, regal and predominantly old–school, not for the lighthearted, playful folks. May be more appropriate for late 20s, early 30s and up. It doesn’t scream hippie to my nose, though, just rich people with money and time to spend without worrying about cost of living–related consequences. Mood “How does it make me feel?” ― soft, laid–back, 1700s–1800s traditional–style mansions, lawyers, politicians, real estate moguls, rich ladies and gentlemen; the type of old money guys and gals that don’t need to announce their prestige, with everybody either hating on them or envying them specifically because of that laid–back attitude. It’s more bourbon vanilla than violet leaf, and more rose, coriander and ambergris than patchouli, so might be more appealing in fall and winter than summer, unless you’re in climates where there are extended winter and colder springs. Projection “How strong is this juice?” ― It managed to project something akin to a combination of soft but loud and intense throughout on me, with the intensity being more tamed after 20–30 minutes. Silage is prominent if you’re standing 2–3 feet away, but carries a soft vanillic powder when you’re 5+ feet apart, which is preferred since I don’t like anything overpowering the room. It might be a negative head–turner in very small rooms, so be sure you’re only using this where it’s airy and with a number of other people usually 3–8 feet apart at all time (e.g., nighttime outdoor events, farmhouse parties, outdoor birthday parties). Longevity “How long is its performance?” ― On my skin, it easily surpassed 3 hours without much reduction in intensity. It might be softened, yes, but retains much of the most prominent notes, especially bourbon vanilla and ambergris. After the 3rd hour, it softened into something very pleasant to my nose, a subtle elegance that brings more of that warm, woody scents. I don’t notice as much, if not at all, the supposedly‒there lily of the valley in this Twist version, with weaker notes also include black pepper. Progression “How does the scent changes after […] minutes or […] hours?” ― First few sprays were strong on rose, ambergris and bourbon vanilla, with its gradual growth into something simpler but still sophisticated, mostly bourbon vanilla, ambergris and musk, which wasn’t listed as an ingredient but somehow were scented out of the interplay of present ingredients on my skin. Occasions “Where do I wear this?” ― I’d say it’s special occasions (e.g., formal all–white dress code; farmhouse weddings) and office appropriate but might be too strong for cubeville or other closed environments where workers are only 3–5 feet apart all day everyday. You’ll want something with less projection than this if you’re aiming for subtle vanilla. You might still able to pull this off with one spray since the scent does convey elegance and professionalism. Key is to not overspray and only on your wrist and neck, you can forget the chest since it might be too strong after 2 sprays. Seasons “When during the day and year does it speak for?” ― I’d say predominantly fall and winter. If you live somewhere with colder spring days, you’ll be able to wear this longer. Nighttime works best, but colder springs’ daytime works, too. Gender “Does this lean masculine or feminine?” ― Definitely more feminine to my nose, but if you’re a vanilla and musk guy, see if this works for you. I wouldn’t recommend blind buying this one for guys, however. Order another scent that you love and ask them for the sample of this one if you can. Even better, if you have access to it, go to your closest department stores, spray and let it sit on you for 2–3 hours, see if you like the softened and subtle dries down. Vanilla and musk ladies, please jump in. May 4th, 2025 update ― So after a few weeks of owning this, the listed notes that weren’t there before for me within the first few sprays after unboxing have become more prominent, including patchouli, then black pepper and lily of the valley. They will come out during the first 5‒10 minutes, but bourbon vanilla would still be the defining note on me going 20‒30 minutes in. From this, I think it just needs a 3–4 weeks shelf time after the unboxing sprays to adjust.
