This fits perfectly in my large Big Green Egg. Family members have spent much more on the popular brand name version of this, so I'm familiar with both, and I have to say that for the money this seems every bit as good. Time will tell if it holds up as well, but I believe it will as it is made in the USA with quality materials. I've been using it without the bottom iron grate, and am very happy with how it fits and functions.

I looked at other more expensive charcoal baskets but couldn’t justify the expense. This one fit the bill. I was impressed with the build quality- very solid. I have probably 10-15 cooks on it and it’s held up very nicely. Makes cleaning up ash a breeze and really helps my bge come to temp much quicker. Highly recommend- you won’t be disappointed.

It works!
It’s a basket and it’s made of steel, what more does one need that would warrant spending 3 times the price for “the name brand” version? It’s does the exact same thing as the KAB for 1/3 of the price. Fits my large BGE perfectly!

Excellent Quality
This is a great product. This review is way past the purchase date but it is because we haven’t been using our green egg over the winter. I didn’t want to give an inaccurate review. I would buy this as a gift for a friend or family member.

Great option if it’s ever available again.
Fit my Kamado Joe Classic I with the new firebox really well (see pics). As others mentioned, it was a real bargain compared to the KAB version. I make a lot of pizza at 750-800 degrees and haven’t noticed any degradation of the steel. Too bad Amazon shows it’s no longer available. I had just recommended it to a friend.

Great product and nearly 1/3 the price of the name brand, fits my KJ classic as it should. Shipped fast too! Thanks!

This allows me to use my smoker in 10 degree weather
using this with my charbroil vertical smoker. the bowl it came with does not go higher than 140F in 60 degree weather. with this I have been able to reach 275F in 10 degree weather. I know this is not meant to work with a smoker but it works great! if it doesn't get hot enough for you, just hollow out the center and push the coals to the sides so oxygen can get through the center.
