Worth the price
I use this when I do small groups. It is a great way to teach the little ones CVC words. Very durable and I've had it for over a year and it's still in good condition.

good for building word foundations
I ordered these for my son, who has trouble reading, and they are very nice because they display the word, and he can see the letters. When I want to challenge him, I cover the letters at the bottom with another card, and he can only see the picture. As others have mentioned, I DO wish they were laminated or, at the very least, thicker. I bought lamination sheets from the dollar store and laminated them so they would last a little longer.

Great fun and educational
My three-year-old grandson and I had great fun playing this game. I was amazed that after a few days he was able to recognize and sound the words out on his own. It really did stimulate his wanting to read.

Paper
The tiles should be double sided and laminated. Won’t last long

Good for lower level readers
I use these cards for my students who need a little more support building cvc words, because these cards have the words printed on the same side as the picture. The cards are on the thin side, and I wanted them to last, so I laminated the cards. You can also use a dry erase marker to trace the words and get in some handwriting practice.

Kinda nice
But nothing special. It’s nice to have sturdy pre-printed cards because they are usually more attractive, but the illustrations are not that great and some are confusing/unclear. Attached are samples of the cards - you be the judge whether the pictures match the words! I think they should be aids for helping to sound out the words or, once identified, be intuitive enough that the kid remembers what the picture is of if they are having trouble sounding out the letters. One of the images shows the duplicate. Most are of pictures that even I wouldn’t have guessed the word for.The description says 30 cards, which equals 60 different pictures/words. I got 30 cards, but two are duplicates. The storage pouch is a cheap pseudo-canvas bag. It just fits the cards and tiles, but some younger kids might have a little difficulty inserting or pulling out the cards, especially if the drawstring opening isn’t completely loosened.Speaking of the tiles, they all have a line on them to indicate which way is up. (The line goes on the bottom.) At first, I thought it was denoting long vowels, but I immediately saw that wasn’t the case. This may not matter to most, but wanted to point out that detail. The cards make for interactive learning and will, hopefully, encourage spelling skills for young ones. But I would not get this set again unless the pictures were improved - mostly for concepts, but an upgrade in style would be nice if you’re an aesthetics person!
