Worked for toddler at first
Our toddler struggles with FOMO. He never wants to stay in bed and loves to wake with the sun. We bought this to help him remember to stay in bed all night long. It worked while it was novel for him (2 months), we used the phrase “if it’s red we stay in bed”. However, now when asked, our sassy kid says “it’s red so I came to your bed”. We have noticed that recently, the switch from the res to the green light it just bright enough that it wakes him up in his dark room. The red light is dim and give minimal arousal but the green light is significantly brighter. If you have a light sleeper i would recommend being cautious of where you place it. Overall the clock works and it does what it is described to do.

Lights are great but doesn’t keep accurate time
We have this clock plugged in our toddlers room. The changing colors is really nice and the ability to set an alarm if you want. The problem is that it’s slowly losing time. About every week it loses 5-10 mins and I have to go in and adjust the time. This just frustrating as a parent with a million other things to do. I like the ability that it can change to green at 8am but i would have loved the clock to actually stay the correct time. I waited too long and was too patient with this. Thinking that each time I changed the time, that it would stay and so now I’ve missed my return window.

Works great for 4 year old!
Our son got into a terrible habit of crying out for us EVERY SINGLE MORNING when he was fully capable of getting out of bed and opening his own door. This went on for months and became very exhausting dealing with the crying and drama each morning if his door wasn’t opened up for him to get up. Definitely doesn’t start the day off in a positive mood.I knew I wanted to try a clock to help him know it was ok to get up. I had a friend recommend littlehippo but I refused to pay $50 for a clock. Yeah, cute concept with the face but parents get nickel and dimed enough. This clock gave us the same concept for the color coding without the price tag of the other. We use it to turn red at bedtime and green when it’s time to get up. It does have alarm sounds but we keep that feature silenced. It stays set everyday so we aren’t having to constantly set it every night. If you didn’t need the red/green light features, it does have other pretty colors that could be set.So far my son loves it! The first morning he ran into our room so happy because his clock was on green. Each morning since has been 100x better! No more fussing! Now he will only call out if his clock is red and that’s typically because he needs to go potty. If you’re looking for a great clock for your little kid without paying a lot of money, I highly recommend!

Great for teaching kids the concept of time.
Like many parents, we were regularly woken very early by our kids, who didn't understand that 5.30 is still the middle of the night. We got this clock for them and now they understand that it's not time to get up until the clock goes green. It's also great for teaching them when bedtime is, as the clock will red at the programmed time. While it won't stop the little angels from waking early, they can learn when to go back to sleep and when it's time to get up. The red light at night is not overly bright to disturb sleep, but can be used as a nightlight if required. The time and alarms are easy to set, the brightness of the light can be adjusted and you have the option of an audible alarm as well.

Must have product for toddler parents
Our 1,5 yo daughter always woke up early, but after autumn time change it became a disaster, as she consistently started to wake up at 4 am and refused to return to bed. I couldn't continue like this and started to search for some remedy how to train her to wake up later. That's how I got to know about sleep training alarm. We wanted simple red/orange/green indications and night light option. This alarm does miracles! I am ready to pray on it😅In 2 days of explanations she understood the concept and was already standing up at 5.30 am. Day by day we were adding 30 mins plus to alarm and she was quietly waiting till it rings. Just in a week our little gremlin, which was waking us up at 4 am turned into happy child, who peacefully lays in the bed until the alarm rings at 7.30 am.I don't know how does it work. She can't sit calmly for 5 mins anywhere, but here she quietly plays in the bed sometimes for over an hour since she woke up, but the alarm hasn't rang yet (I observed on the baby monitor all the time and was shoked).Sleep training alarm magically does it's job, therefore highly and urgently recommend to anyone with small children. Now about this specific alarm. The positives about it:1) Sleep training is made using 3 colors red/yellow/green. It's widely spread colors of allowed/not allowed so I wanted already to implement this concept and alarm helped with it perfectly.2) Red color is not fleshy, does not disturb sleeping3) Big range of colors and sounds4) I love the star form5) Intuitive setting upIt greatly brought needed result of baby standing up later, plus our daughter got used to it, so we don't change it. But with the positives, this model has few flows:1) Our one missing yellow color turning on before green, as indication that soon is to wake up. No big deal for us, 2 colors even easier to explain to so small child, but the fact that indicated option doesn't work reduced a score.2) Not possible to set up day color permanentlyEven though I have chosen green light as a day light, when the alarm rings in the morning, switching from red to green, I would have expected that green continues to display after turning off the alarm sound. But in practice when we turn off the alarm, light turns off fully as well as sound. So if I want the day light to be displayed, I need again to set it up. That puzzles my baby each single time.3) No batteryI knew it has no battery and thought it's not gonna be a problem, but the moment baby got sick and wanted to sleep in our room, we didn't want to search for the plug for the alarm with her in this state, so we didn't take the alarm....and momentarily without seeing red, she woke up at 5 am again and refused to get back to sleep, as she does with the alarm. I would say having the possibility to unplug it and take with yourself in quite important.4) Not possible to set up second round of alarm for a day nap. My baby expects same behavior of alarm for day and night sleep, so before putting baby for day nap, we need to re-sut up both go to bed and wake up times. It's quite enjoying. So generally I highly recommend taking the sleep training alarm, but this exact model has quite significant down sides as for me.

These little clocks are awesome!!!
I bought 2 of these clocks one for my 6 year old and one for my 5 year old. They work great, are easy to set up and change and love the stop light system with bedtime / wake up timer. The only thing i wish these had ( and this is me being picky) is a second alarm. So i could set one for the week days( school) and one for the weekends. But honestly these are easier to set then a lot of the other ones around and my kids love them.
