"You’re my star, Tess. You shine here. In my heart."
CW: mentions of parental abandonment, mentions of cancer, death of a spouse, scene of a traumatic childbirthWhen it comes to Ava Hunter’s books, I know that I’m going to have the time of my life. And it was even more of an exciting journey with Babymoon or Bust. It’s the perfect mixture of humour and angst, steam and swoon; all coming together in a book that I cannot wait to read again. And again. And again.Tessie and Solomon are the perfectly matched pair with her sunshine and focused personality, and his grumpy recluse behaviour. I’m a sucker for grumpy heroes, so obviously I was really excited to meet Solomon Wilder, but I didn’t realise just how much I would love him. He’s not just a grump for the sake of being a grump, he’s got his reasons and he’s been through the ringer. He’s got this difficult history and overcoming that has been quite the journey for him. But I love how we get to watch him come undone chapter by chapter in this book, while meeting and falling in love with Tessie. And Tessie Truelove. My god, this woman. I loved every minute and inch of her. From her attitude to life and the way she works her butt off, Tessie is my hero. She’s fierce and tough and even though she’s saddled with the nickname of Terrible Tessie, I think that’s what makes her such an awesome person. She’s the kind of person I’d want as a friend too. I love how she sees the world in Pantone shades, how she holds on tight because she’s afraid of losing the important things in her life. But also how much she loves her unborn baby.Gah, their romance, though. It was beautiful. Ava always does such a good job of building the romance and the bond between the characters. You fall in love with them as they fall in love with each other. And the way Solomon loves Tessie is just absolutely mind-blowing. Their relationship is swoony and fun and cute and sexy and I loved every single minute of it.All of the stars for the magical way Ava writes, too. And if you’ve read her Nashville Stars series, you’re going to absolutely love this, even though the style and characters are so vastly different. But it’s still got Ava’s brand of beautiful storytelling that hooks you from page one.

❤️
This is the first book I read by Ava and I am glad to find her as I am in love with this amazing world she has created. Tessi and Solomon are too easy to fall in love with. I loved getting to know them as they got to know each other. As we go further into the read it's clear that they need each other. My heart ached for all the pain they both went through. I was rooting for them to get together and start there little family. Sometimes it's difficult to get second chances in life but when you are lucky enough you need to embrace it. There were so many moments I was swooning over Solomon. I just could not get enough of them. There were also some characters whom I wanted to strangle but thankfully they redeem themselves. After this I am eager to start reading other books by Ava.

Best pregnancy trope book
This book was so heartwarming. I had such a great time reading it, laughing, giggling, swooning, it had it all!!!Tess is a workaholic city girl, seems uptight but my girl is a softie😭💗And the man in question, Solomon Wilder❤️ A grump and a chef......best combination.....sign me up😭❤️The best thing was how Tess transformed from a closed off, reserved woman to a brave, loving mama. Motherhood, I must say is the greatest, best thing. And my Solomon. His owns my heart. His words and actions both melted me. I love men who know exactly what they want and he is one of them.I love how both of communicate instead of simmering in doubts and expressing their feelings. And the banter and chemistry was so good. They are meant for each other❤️

A beautiful celebration of motherhood and a mother’s love!
Babymoon or Bust is another Ava Hunter masterpiece! See the beginning of the book for content warnings.I have so many thoughts on this, so bear with me. Let’s start with the cover. This might be my favorite Leni Kauffman cover so far and I love all of the little details. You would think Solomon’s flannel would look out of place against the tropical paradise background, but it works because it’s just so him. And his Chinook landscape tattoo? Absolutely swoon worthy.I wouldn’t say I actively avoid the accidental pregnancy trope, but I also wouldn’t say I actively seek it out either. It’s one of those tropes that I can take or leave. I thought it was very well done here. Yes, the pregnancy brought them together, but it was clear Tessie and Solomon had feelings for each other right from the start. And Bear? That is the absolute cutest nickname for a baby!Ava writes the grumpy sunshine trope so well. Tessie is one of my favorite romance heroines and always remains true to herself. She’s one of the strongest characters I’ve ever read and she is an amazing representation of the fierceness of a mother’s love. Solomon and Ash bring out the best of her sunshine energy.Oh Solomon. He had me at grumpy and overprotective. The perfect combination of tender and possessive (with a dirty mouth), he’s everything I want in a book boyfriend. His love for Tessie and their son is evident right from the start. His surly mountain man energy is the perfect combination with Tessie’s sunshine fierceness. This book is a beautiful celebration of motherhood and a mother’s love for her child. I cannot wait for what Ava has coming next!

Fofo, emocionante e divertido

Sweet and emotional romance
This book took me on one of the most emotional and sweetest rides. Solomon and Tessie both meet each other at a defining moment in their lives, a moment where both need to decide if they want to go on with the way their (dare I say unsatisfying) lives are, or if it’s finally time to bravely make a decision and take a leap of faith.Although it took them a a tiny bit of time to find their way back to each other, I thoroughly enjoyed watching them change themselves and each other for the best.Watching Tessie (loml) grow, learn to love herself and not settle for less for both herself and her baby was the best part of the book for me. She not only matured because she was preparing herself to be a single mom, but once Solomon made it clear he wouldn’t leave her or their baby to fend for themselves, she was able to flourish. And her dedication to her dedication to her baby from the moment she found out she was pregnant? Mama bear was ready to do anything to make sure her baby didn’t have to grow up feeling the way she did. I have the biggest crush on her.And Solomon, sweet Solomon. So in love with his little family and ready to do anything for them, including making so many efforts to take himself out of the self destructive routines he’s had for the last few years. Solomon Wilder is by far one of the best written MMCs I’ve ever read. He doesn’t play around when it comes to his girl and baby, loves them both to the moon and back and not for a moment did he hesitate to take responsibility for his actions and take over when Tessie wasn’t at her best. And on top of that, he’s a chef and has a precious dog. Seriously, how could one not fall in love with him?10/10 Would recommend reading
