I purchased the IP5M-B1276EW-AI to replace an older model POE camera that I use to monitor my driveway and now, as a result, I want to replace ALL of my older cameras!!! The Color Night Vision aspect is very impressive especially since my older camera don't have this capability. The 129 degree Field of View is also very impressive and with the new camera I can monitor not only my driveway but one entire side of my home as well as the entire front of the house along with the front yard. The night vision capability of this new camera is vastly better than that of the camera it replaced especially the Color Night Vision. The built-in microphone and Audio Detection is yet another huge plus for me at least and WOW does it work well. The Active Deterrent function is a very nice plus for the camera.I unpacked the new camera and found the packaging to be very good with no damage to the camera and all accessories included. Set up was a breeze as all I had to do was remove the old camera and install the new camera in the same location. I have been using AMCREST cameras for some years now and all are connected to a 16 Port POE AMCREST NVR so connecting and setting up the new camera was fairly simple for me. I logged into the web interface for my NVR and through this interface I was able to quickly configure the camera for static IP as well as configure all the security settings including Smart Motion Detection, IVS, as well as the new Active Deterrent functions. I use AMCREST Surveillance Pro on my laptop to monitor my cameras/system while at home and I use the AMCREST View Pro App on my phone when I'm away from the house and, as a result, I was able to quickly able to access the new camera within this application and confirm all was well with the new camera.

The Amcrest 5mp 4K POE bullet security camera is very well built, it is an all metal housing with a very durable powder coated finish that will for sure withstand the outdoor element for a long time. Obviously with it being a POE camera there is no wifi capability so you need to have an ethernet cable run to where you want the camera located. Luckily for me I already had an older POE security camera mounted in the back of my house, so I had the POE cable ready to go. This made the installation and setup super easy. Mounting the camera is very easy, with just the included 4 screws and anchors I had it hung up in just a few minutes. The camera is very easy to adjust and point at the perfect angle that you need. I set up the camera using the amcrest cloud app on my iPhone and following the included instructions it was very easy to get the camera up and running. The camera has an outstanding 4k video resolution, it is so clear and the colors were very accurate but still popped. I was very impressed with the video quality. The contrast and exposure are very well handled as well, it does not get too washed out even with direct sunlight. The FOV is very wide and is able to cover a good amount of my back yard which is what I needed. The night color night mode works well and provides a great color at night even in pitch black darkness. The only negative when it comes to this is there is no ability to zoom the video feed in either the app or on the desktop viewing. A feature that I really like about this camera is the ability to insert a MicroSD card in the camera for on board file storage, but I do wish that the card slot wasn't on the bottom of the camera. Which makes it easy for someone to try and steal if they wanted to. I do wish that this camera had 2 way audio, this camera only has a microphone to capture audio but doesn't have a speaker to produce sound. Overall this is a fantastic POE security camera that has a ton of features and an outstanding picture/video quality in both day and night modes. For the price this bullet security camera cannot be beat.
