This book covers only 2-3page about Indian history!!!! Should be taken as reference book instead of text book.

Excellent book for anyone who loves modern history or is studying for GCSE, A Level or Degree in modern history.

Whilst the contents of this book are mainly aimed at modern history professors and students, it is written in such a way as to be a good read for non-academics too. I haven't had time to study every chapter but I have enjoyed dipping in to the subjects that I find the most fascinating eg. the section on American Presidents, especially in the second half of the 20th century. I also enjoyed reading about the end of colonialism and an unbiased account of the invasion of Iraq.

This is such a lovely book if you like history, either as a hobby or as a student. So informative and easy to read, you can dip in and out as you please. My study days are over but that doesn’t mean I can’t open the book at random and become immediately absorbed. I may not study now, but I’m not too old to still learn.

Highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys history. A comprehensive book that helps you to understand the international relations from the past. I just wish there had been such a book when I was studying A level history.

It’s still a great book but the authors could have at least checked on one thing at least - South African anti-apartheid activist Steve Biko was not killed in 1976 as the book states but actually died in 1977 - 12 September to be precise.
