I got the Echo Show 5 Kids thinking it would just be a cute gadget, but it’s honestly become a little lifesaver in our home. My kids use it for everything — listening to music, asking questions, checking the weather, setting timers during homeschool, and even calling grandma.The parental controls are easy to set up, and I love that the whole experience is kid-centered without being overstimulating. It’s educational, safe, and gives them a little independence in a tech world I can trust.Also, the size is perfect — it fits neatly on their desk or nightstand, and the voice recognition is surprisingly good. This is one of those smart-home purchases that actually made life easier.If you’re a busy parent who wants your kids to have access to tech in a safe, contained way, this is it. Plus, it’s cute.

Worth every penny
Bought 2 of these for my daughter and niece to talk and FaceTime sense we live in different states. Absolutely love them! Parental controls are so easy to use so easy to set up. Great video quality so many fun functions on it colors are vibrant and sparkly. Super happy with them! The size is perfect.

I’m still sorting through how to enable certain routines, schedules, or games and have it work seamlessly on the Alexa device. It can sometimes be frustrating figuring out how to navigate what you want and how to get it and navigate around the parental controls—especially if your child is right on the older edge of these controls and might also want some older content, yet still needs parental controls for certain browsing aspects etc…2. Limited Third-Party App Integration:While the device offers a variety of features, the range of third-party app integration might be limited compared to other devices, potentially restricting certain functionalities.In summary, the Echo Show 5 (3rd Gen) Kids is a fantastic addition to a child's bedroom, providing a safe and entertaining environment with educational benefits. Great product!
We love anything Alexa in my house! We have multiple devices and this is my favorite one. The sound quality and volume is much better than the original echo dots. Highly recommend

RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN
The media could not be loaded. Absolute dog water of a product. If this is the kind of hot garbage Bezos and his “engineers” con us into buying to become one of the richest men in the the world, then I want off this planet.My son is obsessed with Alexa. He plays with them when they are in electronic stores, loves asking kid questions. I swear the best build they ever had was the first generation Echo tower from a decade ago still rocking in our living room with rarely a problem. Back when their products lived up to their name.But this embarrassment of a hardware piece? My god, I think cell phones from 2008 had zippier chips to play back videos. It’s unresponsive, gets caught up in between screens. And this isn’t our first one, right out of the box the first came with video glitches and went back. Fool me once or possibly own a lemon I can deal with, but now experiencing this one and it still being glitchy AF from start to finish, DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BUYING THIS EXPENSIVE PAPER WEIGHT.There is nothing magical about how it works, your kids even think it’s a joke. In fact, I think most Amazon hardware post 2018 is one of the biggest jokes around. None of it has been good, the Echo Dot was the worse sounding hardware in history when it released and now they think we are all suckers putting screens in our kid’s bedrooms that do nothing but need constant unpluggings just to reboot.I can’t warn you enough to stay away from this thing and hope I got the point across. Nothing about this item is fun, interactive, or even remotely worth 89 cents let alone $89. You will be disappointed with everything about it. Thanks for the no video search functions or picking songs on a screen. Did your software team just abandoned the idea of a kid-friendly device? Seriously, we all need answers. STOP PUTTING OUT TRASH PRODUCTS!!!
