The media could not be loaded. I bought the NuBlume Blue Oyster Mushroom BloomBox as a first time mushroom grower. It arrived the next day just as it said it would. The packaging is modern and attractive with an immense amount of pertinent information such as USA made, 1% to the planet reinvestment, details on the mushroom being grown, USDA organic, instructions for growing g, and a QR for all the information printed right on the attractive packaging. As far as the 1st grow went I purchased the Blue Oyster Mushroom Box. It said expect pinning by the 5th-7th day. Here on the Galveston-Houston gulf coast I had pinning by day 2. I am literally sitting here on day 3 watching the fruiting develop right before my eyes! I am loving my first attempt at growing mushrooms. NuBlume has made it fast, simple, fun, attractive, informative, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The box says flip over for the second grow! I will post if my experience changes after grow #2. But I don't think it will. Well done NuBlume!

Was looking forward to my first time growing mushrooms, however this has been sitting for the last seven days and it hasn’t even pinned yet

Actually, when I first got these, I didn’t think it was possible for them to grow, but after four or five days, I started to see pinning, and I was so psyched.This picture is how they look after one week. It’ll be interesting to see how big they actually get and I’m not sure how I’ll know when it’s time to cut them.They don’t look blue, though, they look black, so I hope that this is the right thing and if I eat them, I won’t like have hallucinations or something, ha ha ha.I was a little concerned about the humidity bag that they instruct you to put them in, because I’m wondering how big can these get, if they’re pushing up against that plastic bag.So when they start to get bigger, I’m probably just gonna cut the front of the bag and open it up, because you can’t remove them once you put them in there, because the bottom of the box gets damp, and I will fall apart if you try to move it.Overall, I would say, so far so good, and kind of fun.Will update with other pictures as they get bigger.

My overall experience was unbeatable!!! Got these for my girl as part of a birthday gift and she’s never had so much fun. Watching the growth was super neat and it was easy to follow instructions. Definitely see myself doing this again at some point

I wish I would’ve taken a picture of my harvest last night before dinner. I used these on a Neapolitan pizza I made for my husband and myself. These were absolutely amazing. I love mushrooms raw or cooked. And the smell was fantastic too. The key to these germination kits is starting them immediately upon receipt. Getting another one next month after, hopefully, my second reaping. Wish it was spring so I could plant it to see if I could get a third harvest.

The product started blooming within four days. I kept it well moisturized because it’s been cold in California lately. I kept it in the moisture bag and well hydrated and as much sunlight as possible. The first batch was gorgeous, but it was only one and a half handfuls of mushrooms. Expected by the pictures in the ad. I harvested that first batch four days ago. They were absolutely delicious simply sautéed and garlic and butter and I used vegan butter. Mediately started prepping the box for a second batch after harvesting the first and I see nothing. I don’t know if it takes longer for the second batch to start blooming but I’m getting frustrated. If I don’t see a second batch start to peek out in the next 3 to 4 days I’m gonna say it’s not worth the money to buy more oyster mushrooms than this for the same price at whole 365 or my local farmers market.

Editing my original one star review-it did end up growing mushrooms (hoping for my second batch now ). Keep in mind that it took way longer to grow than they say.Over all I’m just glad they grew!
