saw these on line with a guy called Steve (mind of watercolour)i hesitated a bit at the price but a bonus from work swayed me to buy them and this is the second setyou do get a duplicate size with the sets but havent seen them else where as yetlove the way they keep the point and the amount of water they holdthouroughly enjoy using them and have put all other brushes away

These brushes are excellent quality well worth the cost, the points on the tips stay firm and hold their shape very well. The handles are very comfortable and light, a joy to paint with.I shall definitely buy more of these brushes in the range.Pros excellent brushes hold plenty of water and pigment also keep their shape.Cons a bit expensive but quality outweighs the price.No protective case, at this price why not manufacture one? brushes need to be stored safely.

I've bought these a while ago but haven't tried them on until now. My rating is due to the disappointment with the small size 4 brush. I think it's missing some hairs as the point is wonky and I can't get a straight line with it. The other two are absolutely perfect though and I love them. They hold enough water and snap right back and it's an absolute joy to use them. They live up to their reputation and size 8 has become my favorite brush from the first moment I picked it up.

Brushes arrived promptly in their own plastic case. These are the finest brushes I have ever had the pleasure of using with watercolour. They feel comfortable in the hand and the brushes make one want to get painting straight away. Every line is smooth and precise, even with the one inch brush fine detail is still possible. Whoever designed the Black Velvet must have been a genius. One thing is for sure, they understand watercolour painting in greatest detail and know how an artist would wish their brush to perform to enable the best artwork possible to the best of the artists abilities. Watercolour is a difficult medium, but with these brushes one feels more confident and able to really get to grips with it and be successful and happy with the work produced. With these three brushes, l do not need any further equipment [apart from colour and water] to paint happily for many, many years to come.

These are really beautiful brushes of the best quality. If fact, I would say far better than my Winsor & Newton sable brushes. There is one thing that you will need to get used to though and that is the length of the tip bristles. They are very long, thin, soft and free moving and are quite hard to control. As a result of this, the tip of the brush arrives at the paper surface a little before you expect it to, unlike a normal brush tip. After a bit of practice it becomes easier, but it was certainly a different experience. I'm gradually building up my set.

I have had my eye on silver brushes for while but always balked at the price. I was gifted them in the end for my Birthday and what can I say but wow ! They are simply amazing. I have never owned a 'posh' paintbrush before so cannot compare like for like , but I can tell you that I simply love the feel of these brushes. They glide across the page, have a super pointy tip for details, even on the thicker brushes, amd their capacity for holding water is amazing. It has put watercolours on a whole new level for me. If you love watercolour painting then you won't regret buying these.

I had these in my shopping cart for so long, then went for it and purchased them when the price suddenly dropped. They are fantastic! I’ve tried all sorts of watercolour brushes and these make my others seem like kids brushes. Lol
