Bag is very big,,, very waterproof,, good sturdy zip, you get a good peice of heavy duty plastic to fit in the bag as a bottom,,,, delivery was spot on, I bought on Wednesday and it was due to come monday, happily it arrived Friday morning, only reason it's a 4* and not 5* is it is not the color it shows in the pic, the bag is burgundy

I bought one of these because it looked cheaper and easier to store than a roof box. What a mistake.First problem - no instructions; so had to work out for myself that I needed to reduce the spacing on roof bars, from 700mm to 600mm.Second problem - the base is not solid, it sags badly. This is surprising as I had a hard sided suitcase on top so the weight was evenly distributed over the base.Third problem - no instructions (again); so had to work out for myself how to attach and secure safely once packed;Fourth problem - the straps aren't very good. No ratchet or self tightening mechanism and difficult to get tight and safe.Fifth problem - not aerodynamic, makes loads of noise, use more fuel, limited to 55mph.In short - don't buy this. Buy an aerodynamic, solid roof box. Might be more expensive and storage, when not in use, may be a problem. However, a proper roof box will do the job better, safer and more conveniently.

As with the other reviews the issue over base-board is indeed correct,the board issued with the roof bag would be woefully inadequate,i replaced the standard -issue one with a piece of 9mm plywood cut to a slightly larger size and all the edges rounded and chamfered off,end of problem.I don't know if i can trust the standard fixings,they seem a little insubstantial so i supplemented them with two ratchet straps to give me piece of mind.The material and chunky zipper is impressively heavy and looks very hard-wearing and waterproof,on my very first use of this roof bag i was driving up high on the A66 in torrential rain,a very thorough test which it passed with flying colours.Overall i am impressed with what i have,taking into account the amount of money i paid for it,the improvements i mentioned are worthwhile doing and with these completed i would recommend this roofbag to anyone who needs additional storage capacity but hasn't got the deep pockets to fund this.

What can I say,we bought it to do touring abroad, to give us space in rear of the car. I was very surprised to the amount of gear we could pack away inside,Very well designed for it's purpose, easy to attatch to the car, with a strong base support for weight. Very pleased.
