After reading this prequel I am excited for the first novel in the series, Pucking Around. I have heard many great things about the author Emily Rath and this series. I have already gotten my heart into the series through this prequel in only 9 chapters. I’m caught, I devoured this book and cannot wait to keep reading on!!Two strangers meet in a hotel bar. Not looking for anything in particular other than to drown their misfortunes in liquor and go on with their nights. Until he stepped in to help her when a drunk idiot won’t take a clue.Their chemistry leapt off the pages from the get go. I love the book I love how it started. I really enjoy a one night stand turn to a Lover, but the fact that I felt like it’s an open ending and it’s so short like I needed more so I hope that it’s more of these character. It just sad that it’s finished so quickly. Again I understand where she’s going with this move on,I have to read into it to find out if there’s like a continuing part to it or whatever, but I feel little disappointed after reading the book to be honest it’s just like I’m enjoying it so much and suddenly ending, so short then I find out that there is five chapters of the other book. I think the other part or whatever but I didn’t read it to be honest, I only read the chapter to the one night stand. I’m not sure if there’s a continuing story or whatever going on.

this is the prequel in the jacksonville rays series. it revolves around a one night stand between rachel & jake, who are both in seattle for their twin siblings – rachel’s brother got married & jake was meeting up with his sister for the first time in a while, but she couldn’t make it.from the moment they met, it was an instant connection. hot, steamy, longing looks, a multitude of things in common. i’m living for this series & i’m only just starting it. the ideal one night stand, if i do say so myself😮‍💨i’m immediately diving into pucking around & i’m beyond ready for the ride. hell, i was hooked from the dedication page😍

I’ve heard great things about this serious and this prequel alone is proof of that. I’m diving right in to book 2. Jake and Rachel are HOT & I can’t wait to see how the rest unfolds, knowing what I know lol. This prequel perfectly set up the two characters and was so sexually charged. The chemistry seeped off the pages.

This is all about the one night stand between two of the foursome that will be in the main book. So please, keep in mind, this novella IS MF, but it doesn’t end in a HEA. It is a prequel for an RH a book, so enjoy at your leisure!That being said, DAMN this book was hot and spicy. Rachel and Jake were magnetic towards one another. Helping her out of an uncomfortable situation, Rachel and Jake find themselves in each others company. Zodiac sign approved, they hit it off when one thing leads to another.No names. One night. While both want more, these two are perfect together. Yet, I love that Rachel sticks to her mind and still leave. It’s the type of connection that makes you root for them, even after the first moment!With that I’m reeling and absolutely need the whole book!! Now! I will say the end of this novella has the first 5 chapters was such a damn teaser!! I’m excited to see how Rachel grows her harem.⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️/5

I don’t know if the actual book can live up to the little novella. It packed a mighty punch and I’m salivating for the story to continue. I usually don’t like insta love but GAWD was this everything!!! That cliff hanger was a killer!!! Good thing I already have the next book…. Kinda scared i will be ruined if it doesn’t go the way I want … no need!

This book is a book to read prior to Pucking Around. I love how I’m such a short time she describes this instant connection and just the relaxed aura about it. The summary at the beginning of Pucking Around didn’t do this book justice to fully understand the connection between these characters this novella is a MUST read. It was funny, fun, and heartbreaking all in one. It makes you want to read more.

As PUCKING AROUND is a biggy I thought reading this first would be a good plan, to see if I like the author before committing to a mammoth of a book...Well, this novella dove straight in to the fun stuff! It was spicy but also had some little comedy moments. I love both main characters and can't wait to start PUCKING AROUND!

No names, just one night…even if they both want more.I wasn’t sure what was going to happen in this prequel after reading the blurb for Pucking around before seeing this. However, I thought this was a great way to be introduced to Rachel who is the FMC. This was short, spicy and just a great start to a new series. Jake was so bubbly and cute in this and he just embodied the golden retriever vibes. I thought this was going to be a why choose novella seeing as its linked to picking around but it was MF which actually makes me excited to see how things change in the main book.
