Small Bites

I do like this book. I have been in an "Entertaining Mode" lately so I got this book. It is divided into sections, and there is also menu recommendations. Like if you want to do a "Asian" themed menu, it will give you a list of recommended apps. From fried apps, soups, meatballs, and veggie bites, this book has a little bit of everything. Each recipe is pretty easy and can be doubled or tripled pretty easily as well.

This is a smart, easy appetizer collection. It has great tips, uses current ingredients and techniques for todays entertainers that love good food. However, most of the recipes are not complicated nor time consuming and every recipe has prepare ahead instructions. This will be my go to book for starting off a get together or just a casual evening with my family. With the vast array of wonderful choices, I fear many of my other hors d'oeuvres books will gather dust. I am thrilled to have found this book and plan to look at what else Jennifer Joyce has authored.

This is a great cookbook. I discovered it originally in a winery in Walla Walla, Wa. and bought a copy. Then I realized I needed to have one for my best foodie friend. So went to Amazon and there it was, of course, a lot cheaper than at the winery. This is one of those cookbooks that I will turn to often, I have one other like this that I call "The Bible", just because it is so useful.

Loved this book. Everything I have made from it has come out well. Many of the recipes can easily be adapted to create a family meal rather than the small bite presentation.Perfect for entertaining, or bringing the winning dish to a potluck!Recipes are exotic in style and flavor, but not overly complicated. The average home cook can make these - my kids have even made a few!

So far the recipes are 1 for 3. I love cooking, but many of these recipes require a lot of work for average tasting food. The last week I finally found one recipe I was happy with. I was about to get rid of the book, but I will try another recipe to see how it goes. It is hard for me to use a book that is not consistent.

It is a nice book with a lot of really nice pictures. I got this for ideas for my bunco party and our knitting group when I am the hostess. Love it.

We like some of the recipes, we got the book because wanted to do a tapus table, without making enough food for the neighood.

Very handsomely packaged book of appetizers! This is a great gift for someone who likes to cook and doesn't mind searching for hard-to-find ingredients. The recipes aren't terribly difficult, just different, so you want to make sure the person using this book won't mind some extra effort.

This is a very good book with a variety of small bites suitable for canapes or mezze/tapas events.

Jennifer Joyce is creative and inspiring! And the fact I got this for a bargain price was a bonus!

happy I bought this - great delivery/service - added to my collection - recommend? sure - love the pictures that accompany so many rercipes - but as I said - an addition to my expanding collection! And - a welcome one!
