figma Saber Dress ver

This is a great Saber figure, and it's refreshing to see her in her more "casual" dress outfit as opposed to the more common armoured variant. She stands at around 5.25"/13.5cm tall, meaning that she's on the smaller side, but don't let that put you off. The sculpting on this figure is incredible; the down-to-earth proportions and the nice amount of lines and creases on her dress give her a relaxed, natural finish. Her hair is similarly excellently done - both the static and blowing hair pieces look great, though I think the edge has to go to the blowing style. The colours and shading on this figure are excellent, complementing the down-to-earth look - I love the two shades of brown used on her boots. The golden trim on her dress is excellently applied throughout, and the silver buttons on her chest are remarkably well painted.Articulation is generally very good, but with one primary issue: the entire dress piece is one solid part and, unlike similar skirts on other Figmas, it isn't molded from soft plastic but from the same hard plastic used on the rest of the kit. Her legs still have a great range of movement, but are hindered from doing any extreme poses by this. For me, it's not too much of an issue, but don't expect Figma Saber to be doing the splits like some other figures can. Otherwise, her shoulders are on pop-out joins which can slide away from the chest for extra range of motion. It's a neat feature and is hidden quite well by her shoulder pieces, which are semi-loose and can be pulled closer to the chest to cover the pop-out join. The back of her hair also has some segments molded from the softer Figma plastic, which gives her more side-to-side mobility as it allows the hair pieces to "flow" over the shoulders.The accessories are also great. You get Excalibur with its scabbard, Avalon, and both the sculpting and paintwork on these are perfect. Saber comes with interchangeable hands to hold both of these, as well as open, cupped, and closed fist hands. She comes with three interchangeable face parts; a warm smile, an open-mouthed smile, and a stern face with the eyes looking left. I personally think these are some of the best face parts ever included with a Figma - each one really does look like Saber as seen in the 2014-15 Unlimited Blade Works anime. The next accessory is the bamboo sword she uses when sparring with Shirou - it's a nice and well-made accessory, if a little bland when compared to Excalibur. Finally, you get a standard Figma stand, and a spare wrist joint incase any of yours break.In conclusion, I think the only question you should be asking yourself about this kit is whether or not you like this particular outfit on Saber - to be honest, that's the only factor I can imagine that'd make this anything other than a must-have for Saber fans. Otherwise, pick this figure up. You won't regret it.

It arrived earlier than expected and the figure was in good shape, besides the fact that one of her leg was loose, but I've dealt with it before, so I was able to attach the leg. The figure comes with very little accessories. Since I do not have the Saber 2.0, this Saber really does lack the amount of accessories. But, I still like her because her dress looks amazing and Saber even comes with an alternate hair part that looks even more beautiful.If you're a Fate fan AND a Saber fan, I would recommend her.BUT, if you're not too much of a Saber fan, then I would not recommend getting this because the dress is all one piece and this figure has very little articulation.
