i have tried to use this camera outdoor but the wifi signal was very poor, used it with a lan connection but it didnt record to the SD card ,customer support people couldnt help. so i've returned it . bad experience.

Im not over impressed with these cameras. The design and look are great and really compact and the reason why I purchased them. However, Wireless range limitations are a serious problem with these cameras

Poor all round.
Extremely poor. Interface is awful, can't easily set a static IP on the wireless connection. Installation software doesn't fully work on any modern PC due to running blocked scripts; even then won't see wireless networks with a hidden SSID. Maybe OK for home use, absolutely not for anything else. We were considering usign Trendnet instead of Hikvision due to recent supply issues however this is clearly now not going to happen.
