I originally purchased these clogs to leave by my back door so I could slip them on and off whenever entering and leaving my garden. I did just that for the first few days when it dawned on me that these just might make really comfortable shoes for me to wear to the hospital. I work in surgery and stand for long hours every day and I am honestly pretty impressed by these shoes. I’ve purchased a few different types of shoes all the way from regular sneakers to custom orthotics and I’m happy with these humble gardening clogs.The only cons for me are that they are a little bit warm. I imagine these would be great in the garden for cooler months, but for normal weather or all day wear, they are a BIT warm. My other small complaint is that the top of my right foot sometimes feels minutely uncomfortable in these, but that is based on my unique foot anatomy. If you are normally bothered by the tops of shoes being too tight these MIGHT not be a great hospital shoe for you but I would still highly recommend them for gardening shoes.Also, keep in mind that they are not lightweight. They weigh about 1lb each, but it doesn’t bother me and I just consider it akin to wearing ankle weights while walking up and down the stairs (hello glute and quad activation!)

I garden a LOT, so the holes in Crocs are a problem for me. Stuff gets through the holes all the time, so I'm constantly having to take the shoes off to empty them. I also get tired of getting my feet wet if my hose drips of I step in something wet. Sloggers solved the problem for me. Because they have a bit of a back, they stay on my feet better, and because they are narrower and more form fitting, they keep stuff out better. And they are just as comfortable as Crocs if I end up wearing them all day. Another bonus is that they are not at all goofy looking, so if I need to make a quick trip to the store, I don't feel I need to change my shoes first. This was a good purchase for me.

Not my first purchase of Sloggers, but my first Sloggers clogs. I love them and the several pair of ankle boots I've purchased. They are exactly what I was hoping for in a water-friendly clog - non-slip, comfortable, high quality and great colors.I don't wear them as garden clogs, so I can't comment on how they work for that purpose. I wear these as regular shoes/rain clogs and got a 2nd pair I wear as indoor/outdoor 'slippers' to take the dogs outside. There is a fabric lining inside that helps keep them on your foot with or without socks and I would imagine this lining also helps keep them on your feet when you're in the garden and they get wet. I like this feature and if you've ever walked your foot right out of a pair of clogs, you'll like this feature too. They're also antimicrobial so if you do wear them without socks you wont have to chuck them from the funk after the first season of wearing them.Like other reviewers, you may find these clogs a little on the heavier side. I am a longtime wearer of Crocs and these are not Crocs. Sloggers are actual shoes with an actual sole and insole so they have some weight and structure. They fit true to size for me. I wear a 7.5/8 and wear the 8 with and without socks and they fit well with no sliding in the shoe. The colors are bright and I haven't had any trouble with marking or scuffing. Highly recommended quality shoe, at a great price and made in the USA.

This order was to sideline the shown 20 year old pair!! They are still in great shape but the insoles are worn through in multiple spots. When I couldn't find replacement insoles from Sloggers, I decided to buy a new pair (Though I WILL find something to use in the old ones and enjoy a second pair). They are the BEST for gardening. Surprisingly comfortable (no blisters like I got from a similar product I tried from major retailer), mud hoses off, easy to slip in and out of to run to the mail box or whatever. Very few companies make such reliable, long lived products! Good Job, Sloggers! You will always get my vote!

If you’re looking for a well made, sturdy gardening clog type shoe, this is what you want. They’re true to size, in fact for me, they fit perfectly. They are made in the U.S., another bonus. I wouldn’t say they’re lightweight but I wouldn’t want them to be anyway because I want them to be sturdy. They’re certainly not heavy either though, they’re very comfortable. They don’t flip off like others I’ve tried in the past & there’s no holes like so many have, which is great because I don’t end up with dirty, wet feet. I don’t notice any weird smell at all, and I have a sensitive nose. They’re the perfect gardening, outdoor shoe!

First of all, it’s made in the USA. You can clearly tell the quality of it as soon as you take it out of the package. Second, it is not heavy. Maybe it may feel heavy holding it because you might expect the typical foam/plastic, Made-in-China crap. However, when you wear it, it is super light and comfortable. Third, you will not slip on these. I work at a martial arts gym with 6,000 sq ft of matted space, cement, and tile. We work with many kinds of cleaning solutions, particularly bleach, which is slippery. There are 40-50 guys sweating for hours. Sweat and cleaning solutions mixed together or by themselves are super slippery. These clogs were unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable. The tread was perfect. Nothing felt slippery. And it didn’t catch on dry mat space either. Fourth, they are super comfortable. I have ugly feet: wide, bunions and flat feet. I wear a 8.5 in shoe size. I bought the 8 because I don’t wear socks during cleaning. The size 8 was perfect! I plan on buying another one for outdoor use.

I've had 2 pair of Sloggers now and they are my go-to yard shoes.Let me preface this by saying I hate shoes. My primary footwear are flipflops and slide sandals. At home, I am almost always in slippers. I wear these for everything that's yard related - digging holes, spreading mulch, mowing, weeding, walking around picking up dog poo. They live outside on my back patio. If I'm doing more than a brief stint in them, I wear with socks as they can rub around the opening (mowing or a lot of walking)I love that the footbed is removable. These are super comfy and provide great arch support. Will absolutely buy Sloggers in the future.

They looked fine, but the sizes were American - and hence the clogs were far too small. Not difficult to make this clear in the details. I had assumed that as these were being sold in the UK the sizes would be British. Not so.

The Sloggers are solid and very comfortable, and although I've only just received them I think they will work well in the garden. However, after I placed the order, I found comparable shoes at local nurseries for half the price. Also it turns out that these same shoes are sold in the US for 50% less than the Amazon price. After adding shipping costs (for a UK delivery plus for special arrangements to get them to France), these same shoes cost me 3 times the US price. I expect to pay some premium, but this is exorbitant. Lesson learned - never again.

We first bought our Sloggers at a Pharmacy on a visit to Vancouver, likely 15 years ago. They were a great price, and lasted SO well! They are easy to slip on and off, and so comfortable. I was sad that they were finally wearing out, and tried everywhere local to find something similar, with no luck. I finally Googled "Sloggers" and was thrilled to find them, looking exactly the same, on the Amazon sight. I ordered the same size, and they fit the same, and still are an excellent price!

I love these. I wanted shoes to slip on at the door for handy access so that taking out the garbage or watering that garden is as easy as opening the door and going out without dropping what I am carrying.They are not shoes to put on for the day to go shopping as your feet would sweat and there is not much arch support, but for garden wear and easy to useduck boots, these are perfect. Running errands in and out of the car they are great too. And they clean up nicely as they are rubber. I bought the teal colour and it is really pretty not too bright and not too dark. They are a wide cut and so it is easy to wear a sock underneath. I highly recommend these.

I’ve been wearing these for almost a month now and I can say I will never be without a pair again. They are so easy; just slide them on and go! After almost a month of hard use planting, transplanting, digging, heavy landscaping, and slogging through dirt and mud they still look brand new! This makes me very optimistic that they’re made to last. Another plus is comfort. I have wide feet and when I slide these on they’re quite snug, but within minutes they seem to conform to my feet; it’s like having custom shoes.
