D'Addario NS Capo, Black

It is quite light weight but has a screw that allows you to adjust the pressure applied to the strings. It is well made and looks good. It grips the strings well just behind the fret and is easy to use.

Great value, easy to use, nice design.

This is about as unobtrusive, lightweight and effective a capo as can be found anywhere - I came to this having for some time previously coveted the marvellously tactile but almost twice as expensive G7th Performance capo. A pro guitarist drew my attention to the NS Capo pro and I quickly came around to it's minimalist efficiency. I still like picking up and fiddling about with other people's G7th's but this D'addario/Planet Waves capo is perfect for the job and half the weight. Be aware that there's a cheaper 'lite' version of this capo. The design is pretty much exactly the same except that it's made from ABS plastic instead of aviation grade aluminium. Although the plastic 'lite' version is not recommended for 12 string guitars, I believe it's as effective but at a pocket money price point. Otherwise, if you're not especially budget constrained I'd recommend the pro version. It's pleasingly good and you won't regret it!

This is a great product. Not the fastest capo to fix but probably the neatest and very adjustable in pressure to fit most curved fingerboard guitars (there is a classical version too). Sadly my plastic version broke so I invested in the "pro" metal version which is very neat and identical in appearance. However, Planet Waves sent me a free replacement for the plastic model so now I have a spare. Highly thought of by many players at the IGF Guitar summer school in Cheltenham and rightly so.

Just received this ordered it yesterday. Works brilliantly and easy to use. As it’s compact and the whole capo sits close to the neck it’s less obstructive than others I use. Easily covers 5 strings if you want to play capod on the second and use a drop E tuning. No buzzing quick to adjust, great value

Screw came off within two weeks of purchase. Worked well until then, but clearly this is poorly made. Sent back for a refund

Amazing, quick and lightweight solution! I kept using the Dunlop straps forever because of their small dimensions but they needed adjustments when swapping from neck to neck... this solution instead is absolutely brilliant and can very quickly adapt in a blink of eyes.

Was rather impressed with the effectiveness and build quality of this capo when it first arrived, super thin, light, seemingly durubale and completely eliminated fret buzz. Yet less than a month later and the knob to lighten and loosen it on the neck has come loose from the screw, meaning it often gets stuck. This meant I had to physically pry it off my guitar a few times, which didn't feel good! Has been refunded and replaced with a similar alternative. Disappointing considering I usually like this company's products (e.g. strings) but this wasn't quite up to scratch. Not 1/5 purely because my capo may have been a lemon, and the experience was otherwise positive.

El capó es grandioso. Muy ligero y muy fácil de ajustar, incluso con una mano, tomando en cuenta su mecanismo. Los materiales son de muy buena calidad y se ven duraderos. Ojo: Está construido para guitarras con diapasón curvo. EL capo TIENE UNA LIGERA CURVATURA que permite un excelente ajuste en guitarras eléctricas, texanas y casi cualquiera que tenga una curvatura. Se puede ocupar en una guitarra con diapasón plano, como una clásica, pero se tiene que ajustar mucho más para que la parte de enmedio haga suficiente presión en la tercera y cuarta cuerdas, lo cual puede provocar que las dos primeras y las dos últimas cuerdas se lleguen a desafinar. Pros: •Ligero, de fácil manejo. •La construcción y los materales se perciben durables y de buena calidad. •Amable con el acabado de la guitarra. Contras: • Al dejarlo puesto en el clavijero para almacenamiento. Cómo es curvo, el ángulo del borde se marca en la goma. Aún así, no he notado marca permanente. • No es tan rápido como un capo de pinza. (Lo cual es completamente entendible, debido al mecanismo)

Best capo ever I have.

Small-sized, doesn't bother my left hand when shaping chords near it, seems strong and durable. I got two, one for my Dubai house gear set and one for my Greece house gear, guessing and reading other reviews. It was not a mistake, I'm happy with the purchase, it is an absolute "bang for my bucks".

Son mis cejillas preferidas. Tengo también otra del modelo "Lite" desde hace más de 10 años y sigue funcionando a la perfección (aunque entonces ese modelo llevaba el tornillo completamente de metal y ahora ya no). Por eso compré ahora el modelo Pro. Todo perfecto, de momento...
