Ease of use.
Ayeup me duck.Tried to repair a expanding hose that I somehow damaged. Tried all types of plastic repairs you can get on line. Then I camd across this item. It seems to be made by the same firm that manufactured the hoses. Ordered the fitting. Came all the way from China of all places. Well worth the wait though. Scissors a straight edge on my damages hose. Lost about 2 ft of hose. This repair kit does a fantastic job. Now use my hose again instead o binning the whole lot. Great buy. Worth the price to say it was including postage from the other side of the planet.

Very difficult to fit to an expanding hose
This came with no instructions. I was using it to replace a leak at the end of an expanding hose. There is no function in this join to grip the outer hose. This means that it has to be gripped by the thread of the join and it is very difficult to achieve this.
