Civivis best edc pocket knife for a smaller knife.
This is my favorite civivi knife. It doubles as a bottle opener, lighting fast action, very slicey very thin blade. Although its a smaller sub 3 inch knife, it has a larger comfortable handle that makes it very comfortable to use. This knife is light weight and a perfect little edc pocket knife on a budget. i am tempted to buy its more expensive WE knife version with upgraded steel. Because its that great a edc pocket knife. I prefer this over the elementum as its larger longer handle makes it better for larger hands. Only complaints I would make is the thumbstud sometimes hurts my thumb, if this knife had a cross bar lock,g10 handles and magnacut steel. I would pay 250 for that knife. A XL version would also be awsome and I would purchase it for sure.

Great edc knife!
I recently lost my edc knife (a spyderco dragonfly 2 salt series) and was in the market for a new one. Unfortunately they don't make those anymore. I've heard great things about civivi, but never got around to buying one. After several coworkers who carry civivi knives vouched for them, I finally decided to give this brand a try. So far I am far from disappointed. They clearly have quality control down. The knife comes in a nice zippered case and razor sharp. Smooth and quick opening action. The button lock is a nice feature. Thin and lite, but sturdy. I barely remember it's clipped to my back pocket, which is deep carry btw. It gives more expensive knives a good run for the money. Definitely more bang for less of your hard earned buck. I was also recently gifted a civivi baby banter and I can't say enough good things about that one either. Needless to say, I've been made a fan of these knives.

Blew away my expectations
First off, I am very picky when it comes to knives. I own Zero Tolerance blades, Spyderco blades and I have a Benchmade knife as well. I was looking for a knife that has superior edge retention, a subtle curve to the blade, a sharp point, and a quick opening and closing mechanism that was efficient. When I first looked at this knives opening and closed mechanism, I noticed it was similar to my Benchmade's design accept it came with a thumb stud to use if one desires. I like that they let you have that option on this knife. The blade I've used for a week at work at it's still sharp which is unheard of for my other knifes. Cutting shrink wrap and paper dulls my other knives much quicker. I wasn't a fan of the aluminum handle at first, but I couldn't deny how nice it felt in my hand. The handle was engineering perfectly imo, super comfortable. The weight of the aluminum seems to help drive the blade through the material as well. It feels like a durable, quality knife, it looks like it, and I almost tasted it just to be sure ;) The opening mechanism I now love, the handle I love, the blade I love, and I even appreciated the nice zipped up pouch and cloth it came with. I know what company I will look to first if I need to purchase another blade... CIVIVI! One of the other most important things is this blade is well well worth what they are charging for it. Even when looking at their other knives, I was super impressed with their prices. It's nice to see a knife maker not price gouging! My new favorite knife maker no doubt

Civivi Qubit (Red & Black)
(Pictured next to Sencut Serene for comparison) Easy to flick open with your thumb or middle finger, smooth pivot and nice detent. Button lock is smooth with no crunchy metal on metal feeling. Locks open with no side to side or up & down play. T8 hardware with just the 2 pocket clip screws being T6. 14c28n steel, blade comes razor sharp, sits centered in the closed position, and the tip is fully housed by the scales. So if you run your finger along the edges of the scales you can't hit the tip of the blade while it's closed. Usually I disassemble my knives when I get them to clean up adjust tension or add some oil, but mine is good enough that I don't feel the need to, straight out of the box. With enough force you can cause the blade to come out with gravity but you have to really give it some strength. You won't do it on accident under normal circumstances. Compared to the Sencut Serene, I appreciate the finger choil, and the Qubits pocket clip is sunk into the scales so your pocket won't get hung up on anything, the Serenes pocket clip sits on top of the scales so it can get caught on your pocket. The Qubit is lighter than the Serene also. I have large hands about 8 1/2" from palm to middle finger tip, and a little over 4" from side to side of my palm, and I can get a nice 4 finger grip. Perfect size for an EDC not to big and not too small. You can definitely clip this on your gym shorts and almost forget it's even there. Really lightweight with the aluminum scales but still feels premium.

A Knife That Took Me A Week to Appreciate It
Overall, this is a very nice knife for the price, and I enjoy carrying it. I couldn't say that the first few days of owning it, though. When I got it, it the action was very rough and the button lock was stiff with a metal against metal feeling. Plus, out of the box, it wasn't as sharp as I've come to expect from a new Civivi knife. Now that I've had it for about a week, lubricated it, and put it through it's action a few hundred times, it's very smooth. A few minutes of stropping the blade got it to a nice edge. The knife looks good and I love the blade shape - very useful and slices well as it's a thin blade. I'm a fan of 14C28 steel at this price - it's tough and though it won't keep an edge like more expensive power steels, it's easy to sharpen and the edge will last longer than most mid-range steels. Some complain the grip is too smooth, but really, this isn't a heavy-use knife and the finger guard is respectable. I wear large gloves and can grip with four fingers. It's very comfortable in the hand. The thumb studs are well-placed and not in the blade's cutting path. The only reason for not getting four stars - the button lock is good, but not great. When closing, it will occasionally not fully release. This is minor, but it's not as smooth as the button lock on the CJRB Pyrite. Still, an excellent knife, especially at this price, and I'm now glad I own it.

Well made
I came across this brand in a YouTube review of knives. Never heard of them before. Buck has been my "go to". I was pleasantly surprised. Flips open with ease and closes just as well. Arrived razor-sharp. It was a gift for my wife, who uses it every day in the garden.

Durable, no fuss EDC knife
Had this knife as an every day carry for over 2 years. The quality has blown me away. I have used this thing for DIY projects, camping, packages, you name it. Seriously durable blade. It looks new aside from a few scuffs. Blade still locks perfectly and firmly with no play, folds easy, button works, every time. Genuinely amazing craftsmanship at this price point.

Great pocket knife.
I took a long time before I bought this Knife watching the videos over and over again. I would’ve sworn that this was spring assisted or assisted by the locking mechanism while opening. It’s a great pocket knife very well constructed Rod’s low in the pocket clip is visible, but not the end of the knife. I love mine and I plan on keeping it. I’m a big collector of various pocket knives and fixed blades. I recommend this for your collection and everyday carry. Like the video says on the highlight section it is a good fidget in your hands type of knife it’s not a toy. I almost called it a toy, but it’s not for Fast opening just apply a minimum amount of pressure with your thumb on top of the thumb stud and it will flick open it. Take some practice if you’re not familiar with how it works for me it came natural but then again I’m out big collector of EDC Knifes. I was not disappointed at all. Very happy with my purchase, I plan on keeping mine.
