the springs are initially a little tight, but it still works well. I guess over time, it will be easier.

Tiling - Take your time and it'll work perfectly
If you need instructions on how to fit one of these, then this product probably isnt for you. I used it in my downstairs loo to go on a sink unit I built to access the bottle trap, valves and also a little shelf for bleach and other cleaning products.As i was tiling it, I removed the green plasterboard and riveted in some 1.2mm aluminium to allow for the depth of the tiles. I surface mounted it on the front of the unit and built up around it with 5mm ply. The recess is about 14mm, plus 3mm material thickness. So 17mm in total. My tiles were 9mm, 3mm for adhesive and 5mm ply makes up the 17mm.It's easy enough to do, just requires some thought to ensure it all aligns. I'd make a paper template for your tiles to cut as its critical they are right. I took several attempts before being totally happy with the angles/sizes.Looks good now and although not completely hidden, is very neat and you dont notice it so it all worked out perfectly.I used a flexible adhesive on the tiles for the hatch as it will move slightly and could cause the tiles to come loose. Dont be tempted to open the hatch when anything is wet as the tiles, adhesive and grout will keep it square once set.

Subtle access panel
Great little access panel after plastering you could easily miss it was there. Instructions provided were in another language but still managed to install it in to the plasterboard, and I'm defiantly not a professional as you may be able to tell from the photo. I installed this before putting up the wall, I don't think you would be able to install it in an existing wall.
