It came in an actual branded box and looked to be of decent build quality. Our old unit needed this part replaced and for the price I gave it a shot. It’s been in the 90s and even had a couple of 100 degree days since I have installed it. So far my air conditioner has been running great. It was very easy to install thanks to everything being clearly marked. Absolutely no complaints.

After 3 days of waiting for a large dc metropolitan AC company that I pay to have a preferred membership with to come to my home and fix one of my AC units, I decided to take matters into my own hands as I don't typically touch the HVAC systems. Grabbed my multi meter after some online research and realized the capacitor was shot. I ordered a 35+5 for a 2.5 Amana unit and it came in the next day. Problem is so did the AC company. Told me over the phone my diagnosis was correct and it would cost me $657. I politely said no thank you, paid the diag fee and ordered one more for each unit as soon as he left. As soon as I hooked this up it started right away. I love the trades, and I love working with my hands. It's respectable, but how can one justify those prices for a 20 dollar part? Brandon is killing the economy.

I was surprised when I first got this. It is slightly shorter than my current capacitor, however the mounting straps fit as the diameter is the same. Everything else appears perfect and I had no issues with the AC once connected. Note that the capacitor is only 4 inches high and 2 inches in diameter. Great replacement at the price and AC is blowing cold air :)

My AC went out and the repair guy wanted over $500 to replace this simple item. I was about to accept but then I checked youtube and saw how easy it is to replace. I let the gentleman know that I needed a week to get the money together and sent him on his way. (right after I ordered this) 2 days later this came in the mail and about 20min after that my air conditioner was working again. Super easy to install and works flawlessly.

I’m a DIYer. My home A/C stopped working. I looked at some videos and decided to try replacing the capacitor. The price point was good. The replacement part was easy to install and my A/C started working within 5 minutes. The only thing negative was the delivery. The delivery driver said he left the package by front door. I looked and nothing. So i checked with my neighbors and nothing. So I ordered another one. But couple hours later i checked my mailbox and there it was. So I had to return the re-order.

Controling the ON/OFF of the compressor. The unit looks good in quality and performs as expected. About the longevity it is yet to be seen. But great price, great product so far.

AC quit at 6pm July 3rd with 101 degree heat....of course. The way it stopped I figured it was the capacitor. The unit would come on but the fan would not spin unless I forced it with a stick. But it would only run for 4 or 5 minutes. Ordered this capacitor at 8pm and it was here early the next morning. After watching a couple of YouTubes on how to discharge a capacitor, I had this one installed in 10 minutes. And it worked like a pro. Last time I paid $183.13 plus waited two days to get one installed. Now I bought a backup so if/when this one goes out at a bad time I can fix it myself for $18 and the house never heats up.Note: Don't just look at the old capacitor and reorder the same one. Each AC has it's own capacitance. My Carrier called for a 35/5 but the ac person installed a 40/5 last time. Read the model # and get the correct size. Per all the YouTubes, brand does not matter but size does.

Very good built and quality, replaced my old capacitor with this one and had no problems at all, I definitely would buy again or recommend!
