One of the reasons I got these earrings is that the post is not at the top edge. After several pulls from my children, my pierced ear holes are slits. I like this design with the post placed slightly down the earring. This allows the earrings to look right when worn. These are, however, not lightweight. They are medium weight at best and I can't wear them all day.

These are way bigger than I was expecting or wanting. They are 1.5" long--I would prefer .5-1". They are lightweight, however, so I think they'll be easy to wear. And they are very nice, so I can put them in my gift box to give to someone at some point.
