Heels are quite dry too.Application was easy, cut open the bag and put put your feet into the bags and then put on some socks. I disregarded the need to sit still but it is quite lethal walking around in these things. I also ignored the 1 hour advised time to wear them, i went for more like 2 hours (wanted to make sure it would work!).Noticed that when washing off the gel my feet were very sensitive to the water, even slightly warm water felt like it was burning hot, this uncomfortable feeling passed within a few minutes though.After that nothing happened. Then a few days down the line the skin started peeling off. It's kinda gross but now a week on from the treatment I'd say about 50% of the hard skin is totally gone, the rest is peeling off slowly. It's not just filed down, or part removed and might come back, its totally gone!Running is much more comfortable now, which is great.I normally never write reviews but this product really does warrant the positive feedback. After visiting a chiropodist I was told it would only get worse which it did.Firstly let me say I skimmed the instructions and read it wrong, I used it for 2 days running for an hour each time. I am also am religious about moisturising my feet daily and still did so using the treatment. By day 4 my feet started peeling heavily. If you have hard skin on your heels, balls and toes you need this product. I found it too satisfying to resist peeling away the skin, it has also peeled the tops of my feet, which now look like they match the rest of me! It is now day 9 and it is still peeling away old skin! After a few days, all sorts of rubbish is falling off your feet. However, it only seems to work on the softer areas. It doesn't get to the bottom of thicker, harder areas. The top of my feet went a bit itchy 2 days after use, so I daren't use it again to see if longer application helps, but I used it exactly as per the instructions.If you do use this, make sure you have some micropor tape or large plasters to hand, as the sticky tape they supply is inadequate. Also be prepared for it to be an unpleasant experience. Putting the cold gel booties on and taking them off is a bit yukky.So, if you don't have too bad feet, this should be good. I have corns. I go to a Podiatrist/Chiropodist once every 5 weeks or so and I sometimes have a pedicure in between!I opened the Baby Foot box and took out the instructions which were in Chinese/Japanese? but the pictures advised doing a skin test and leaving the area for a few days. This wasn't possible because the two plastic \"boots\" inside the box are sealed and I was concerned that if I opened the boot and used some of the product, the active ingredient inside the boot would dry out and half the treatment would be wasted.So, I went ahead without the skin test - with some trepidation, I have to say.The advice is to cut the top off the boot and slip your foot inside. Then sellotape the boot to your ankle. There was no tape inside the box but, luckily, I had some sellotape in the house and went to work on removing the hard skin.I kept the boots on for exactly 2 hours and then washed my feet. Nothing happened immediately but after 5 days the skin on the soles of my feet started to flake away. I speeded up the process by having a bath each day for 2-3 days and rubbing the skin off after it was softened in the warm water.Update - I have had another couple of weeks on my \"Baby\" feet and I will be making a note in my diary to buy another treatment in March. I'm also going to buy a treatment for my Mom as I'll be going to see her in a week or so and I know that she'll benefit from this product. She doesn't hold with all that pedicure \"stuff\" but I know she'll be happy to try this out in her own home and she's got even worse hard skin than me!My feet weren't baby soft but an impressive amount of skin flaked away and my feet ARE indeed the softest they've been since I can remember. They are just like the feet of someone who doesn't suffer with hard skin.I would absolutely recommend this product - and it certainly isn't expensive as other reviewers have suggested if you price it beside a pedicure or a visit to the podiatrist. The following morning I took another hot bath and used the pumice stone on my feet and I have to admit for the first time in about 15 yrs I have baby-soft feet, I will continue to use my UREA creams etc but my feet are in such good condition that they will be so much easier to keep soft... Which is usually a lot deeper than just a couple of layers. If you watch YouTube videos of the baby foot product being used it shows the persons foot really peeling off layers.. That did happen.. You get more of a sun burn peel in my eyes. If you want to get rid of hard skin it will take time. You need to really soak your feet at least once a while and scrub the hard skin with a pumice stone then once your feet are our the water use a foot file or ped egg and moisturise..
