The best pens come from parker!
This design is timeless! I had a couple of these pens over the years, and if it were not for losing them, I would still have them today. Its great to see that the high quality that was present decades ago, still exists today! Highly durable, smooth writing, and refillable at a great value! You cant go wrong with a parker! Highly recommended!

Great EDC Pen
I was worried about buying the pen from Amazon considering a few reviews. Ultimately no worry necessary. The pen came in original box, not blister pack. I got it delivered next day for free as well. Workmanship is great. Everything lines up, pen action is smooth, distinctive "click," arrow clip is straight, has firm resistance and lines up just to the right of the "A." The brushed stainless steel is nice, the brushed look is better than if it was polished. Medium blue refill writes smoothly and evenly with no skips and no resistance. I believe this will be a great work EDC pen. I am head of Maintenance; so even though I spend time at my desk and in meetings, I also work on equipment. Nicer pens get damaged, cheap plastic pens can get broken. Rarely does a pen last more than a couple of weeks. I'm hoping that this will be a good knock-around pen that will hold up without worry of any abuse that it takes. I am going to pair it with the Schmidt 9000 refills that are recommended so much for this pen. I'm 57 and this is my first Jotter. It is lighter than I thought it would be, for a metal pen, but so far I'm happy with it.

Classic Pen that still rocks
I absolutely love this pen. The full steel versions of this pen are solid. They're refined, but not too luxurious. They have a huge assortment of refills. The Parker Quinkflow is a great standard. The Fisher Space cartridge comes with an adapter and that works. There are also many who like the Schmidt EasyFlow 9000. Then there is the Uni JetStream which is my favorite. There are also Gel inks from Parker, OHTO, and others. I think one gets the point, plenty of choices. Another good thing is its durability. So if you are a goof and want to get 'Tactical' on your boring commute. That solid piece of steel clipped in your pocket will open whole new opportunities on your way to work. lolThe "maybe ugh...." for some would be the size. It maybe too thin or small for some writers with big hands. They have an XL version, but I can't attest to how much that has helped. The pocket clip can rub on the hand and cause discomfort for some. The negative is the seam between the top and the barrel on some can be slightly rough. As time progressed the manufacturing changed and some cost cuts have been made. So sometimes the seam in one pen may be a little more rough than others. Even if the seam isn't perfect, it is a minor detail and only a bother for perfectionists. However, it shouldn't have this issue.Final thing, the Customer service of Parker's was on point with me when I contacted them. They were very nice.So if you want to be like Boris in Golden Eye 007, twiddling the Parker Jotter in your fingertips. I would click the buy button, just not 3 times.

decent affordable ballpoint
Negative reviews had me half expecting a lousy, lightweight pen that felt disposable. While this is a slim and by no means heavy pen, it doesn't feel like I'm about to crush it or anything. It's a solidly constructed instrument. The ink cartridge appears to be brand new, and writes about as well as any ballpoint I've encountered thus far. This is by no means the nicest pen I own, but it's a very nice knock-around everyday ballpoint pen. Great to put in the pocket or keep on hand when you need to jot something down, as the name suggests. I received it at the same time as a gunmetal Parker IM ballpoint, which is heavier and sturdier, and overall I prefer right off the bat. This came with a working, apparently new cartridge. The IM came with a cartridge which won't write. It's disappointing, but these are refillable pens made to be reused, they aren't disposable. So bear in mind if you order a Parker ballpoint on Amazon, they have a reputation for coming with faulty refills. Consider a good refill a nice bonus, but buy it for the pen and just assume that you'll need to buy refills at the time of purchasing the pen itself and you'll probably be good.As far as the working cartridge that came with my pens today, it writes as smoothly as any ballpoint I've tried. Much better than Cross. It's a ballpoint, so it doesn't look or feel as nice as a fountain pen, but for everyday use without having to worry about the considerations that come with liquid inks, this is a nice option. I'd consider getting another Jotter in a different finish for sure.

Love this pen!
Heard about Parker from Urban Gentry on YouTube and decided I would like a quality pen. Feels great in the hand and easy to write with. The all steel construction is phenomenal. Wish it came with black ink instead of blue ink though. The pen is on the smaller side so if you have very large hands you should probably get the Jotter XL. However, the jotter XL has plastic threads on the cap and the normal Jotter has steel threads. Not sure why that is, as the steel threads add to the quality.
