Pioneers of ‘Hair Metal’, before their time.
They sound almost like a west coast ‘Slade’.QR- a good varied debut album, not surprisingly with ‘Randy Rhoades’ on guitar and the great voice of ‘Kevin DuBrow’, which strangely was only released in Japan at the time, March 1977. Playing time just over 44 mins.Mental Health – out in March 1983, now without ‘Randy Rhoades’ and the first album to have been released in the USA; ‘QR 11’ which is not included in this set, also had only been for the Japanese market in December 1978. Their most frequently played numbers from this their most successful album is their cover of ‘Slade’s’ ‘Cum On Feel The Noize’, followed by the title track ‘Mental Health (Bang Your Head)’. Playing time just over 51 ½ mins.Condition Critical – was released in July 1984 and included another ‘Slade’ cover, ‘Mama Weer All Crazee Now’, which again was not far different from the original. However, this is overall a good rocking record and stands up well. Playing time again just over 44 mins.QR 111 came out in September 1986 and continued in the same vein as their previous releases, again good straight-ahead rock. Playing time just over 42 ¼ mins.Set List is a collection of live tracks from ’83 & ’84 with a decent playing time of just over 64 mins. Not bad as live albums go.While it would have been nice to have had QR 11 included, as it featured Randy Rhoades on lead guitar, you get more playing time with the live set. This is a good value collection of an often-overlooked band which is worth checking out.

My husband had this back in the USA, but delighted to find it here.
The package arrived and we were delighted the cd was in a sealed wrapper, so we know it would be in an excellent condition. And my husband is delighted with the purchase. Thank you so much !! Will trade again x

Sound of the 80's hair metal
A very powerful set of songs, QR were somewhat over shadowed by the many termed Hair Metal acts of the 80's... QR really do deserve more credit than received for their rock output. My group score, 7/10

It is probably the cheapest way to get the tunes ...
It is probably the cheapest way to get the tunes you want, but itf you can do without "Mama, We're All Crazy Now", then you should just get Metal Health, instead.

Missing QR 2
Not sure why they left out QR 2 and instead included a best hits compilation? Would have been perfect otherwise, very strange and frustrating decision.
