6 Compression Bags for Travel, Travel Essentials Compression Bags, Vacuum Packing Space Saver Bags for Cruise Travel Accessories (6-Travel)

I used these on my vacation last week...WOW! They are thin, and I thought they'd rip as I packed. I was ready to return them upon opening the box and pulling them out, but they were very sturdy! I kept our clothes rolled, the way I always pack, but I saved soooooooo much space by using these! Just be careful to not over stuff your suitcase with too many of these, making it weigh too much--it's really easy to do! Also, keep in mind that once you arrive, you'll need to unpack rather than keeping everything in the suitcase because it's harder to access everything from within the plastic bags....and also you'll want to not overuse the plastic bags (reaching in and out of the bag), so unpacking upon arrival is inevitable. Finally, you'll need to remember that you need to repack at the end of your trip, and there will be lots of dirty clothes. We used them going, but we didn't use them coming back because we had travel hampers full of clothes.

We used these when traveling to Europe to help condense our luggage. They’re great cause you roll them to get the air out no vacuum needed. If you put too many clothes in them, it’s harder to deflate the air out of it. But definitely saves some space in your luggage. Great that they are reusable. Will take them on our next big trip! We loved using them to our our dirty clothes in, helped keep everything separate and made it easier on the way home when your luggage is always bigger than what you started with. We did use one to compress a big winter coat and it worked great for that one item.

These seem to be as advertised and stay sealed but the set of 8 bags in our kit came with only 4 zippers. The zippers are required to make the seal--can use without just like a ziploc bag--but it seems odd not to provide a zipper for every bag in the set. One would think that a quality product would not only have a zipper for every bag, but perhaps a couple extras included since they do get lost. In any case, these are fine for the price and work for compression packing / storage.

I used these for my two week trip to the UK during the fall. I only took a carry on so I was trying to find ways to pack efficiently. I accomplished that with packaging cubes and these compression plastic bags.I used these bags for my sweaters and a coat. Sweaters and coats just take up too much room, too bulky. The compression bags did the trick! Takes out all the air and flattens everything out. I wouldn’t have been able to get away with just a carry on had I not bought these.If you are traveling somewhere cold where you need to take bulky clothes, like sweaters or a coat, I highly recommend these. Or if you are just an overpacker, give these a try.When I returned home, I made sure to keep the compression bags in my carry on for the next time I travel.

Minor Update: Decided to test/sacrifice one Large and one Small bag and noticed a few things: 1) The Small 17.7x13.8 bag was Taller/Wider than my 18x14 luggage. 2) The Little White Clip is useless - imperfect seal and gets in the way when packing. Used fingers instead. 3) Put 2 pairs of folded pants into the Large 23.6x17x7 but let the bulk of the air out through the zip-seal since it's HARD getting the air out of the Large one. Sealed it (using fingers) and rolled/sat on the thing. Smoothed out the smushed clothes, folded over excess/empty plastic so bundle would fit in an 8.5x13.5 slot, and overall depth decreased by about an inch. Looks like it works. Fingers crossed it doesn't re-inflate over time.-----previous information-----From what I read of various brands, ALL bags will eventually leak and fail. Hopefully these will last for a trip or two. Have previously used/rolled 2 gallon Ziploc bags with a Double Seal, and to no one's surprise even those leaked or punctured since they were never intended to be crushed, rolled, or sat upon.Many bags in this 16-pack are too large to fit in a carry-on, but guess those can be folded over and are theoretically designed to have air forcibly squished out of them. Downside is they appear brittle, which possibly makes them stronger in the short term, but once they begin to lose integrity, best to throw them away and buy some more. For the return trip and not-so-clean clothes, could either wash the bags or use a disposable inner bag to keep the compression bags clean. Since even generic food bags do a better job of compressing clothes than so-called compression cubes, am hoping compression bags will be a step in the right direction.

These bags made packing so, so much easier. The rolling is easy to do and the vacuum seal works great. I would recommend planning on getting some large suitcase sized ones even if you think you won’t need them — I didn’t think I’d need more than 2 and I ended up using all 6. These are great!

Works ok. Just as an fyi ,if you are on smaller side, roll it on the floor not the bed and use your weight to help push the air out. Does save space though.

I purchased these for a work trip to Vancouver. I needed to bring 15 t-shirts with me along with my personal clothes and items for the week and I did not want to check a bag. I was able to get all 15 shirts into one of these bags and compress it down. I then packed my personal clothing into another back and everything fit into my carry-on.

Used for travelling abroad with hand luggage. Clothes wrapped in these bags, more than easy to use and easy enough to use when packing to return too.
