d-c-fix Vinyl Wrap matte Gray 67,5 cm x 2 m – Sticky Back Plastic

Very please with this vinyl wrap. It has completely changed the tired look of my kitchen cupbaords.I used it to brighten up the inside of some cupboards that were discoloured due to old damp issues. Painting over the damp patches not work.The wrap is very forgiving, you can pull it off to smooth out wrinkles when they occur. You need a Stanley knife to cut it when it is in place.

I bought this vinyl wrap to redo my kitchen cabinets, and honestly, I’m shocked at how good it turned out. The colour and texture look far more premium in real life than in the listing photos. It has a subtle woodgrain effect that adds depth without being busy, and the finish looks like something you’d see in a modern showroom. Great value for money. Perfect size (only had to dual cut once).The wrap is thick enough to feel durable but still flexible, so it’s easy to apply even around the edges. I used a heat gun on the corners, and it behaved perfectly; no tearing, no weird stretch marks. Adhesion is strong but forgiving while repositioning, which saved me a few times!😅Once installed, it transformed my cabinets completely. It doesn’t look like “vinyl” at all, more like actual paneling. I’ve already had compliments, and nobody can tell it’s a wrap unless I say it.If you’re looking to refresh furniture or cabinets without spending a fortune, this wrap is honestly one of the best I’ve tried. Very difficult to apply! The product quality is good but as a person who considers themselves quite capable craft wise and reasonable at DIY I could not cover the desk (130x60cm) without numerous creases and air pockets appearing. It probably needs two people to do a desk this size but even when another person helped me the outcome was not a smooth surface. In the end I ripped it off and will buy a new desk top. The actual film is good quality - attractive sheen, flexible and good adhesion but needs skill beyond mine (and possibly that of many people) to apply to a surface the size I was operating on.

Buying online is a bit hit and miss in terms of getting the right colour. I was prepared for coordination rather than an exact match and I had a couple of colour failures which I returned.I did this project on my own and it took me just over an hour. (Not including the ten minutes spent standing back and admiring the result! ;-) ) I took time to measure ("measure twice, cut once") and I went slowly at first to stick the vinyl onto the surface.There were no air bubbles and then I made the mistake of releasing pressure on smoothing out and got two very small air bubbles about 2mm in diameter but these were easily fixed with a pin and then smoothed over. Afterwards I couldn't even tell where they had been.The most challenging part was dealing with folding over the edges especially as I was working on a very hot day, in a tight space and was getting tired (of all the interruptions) By the time I got to the fourth corner I just wanted to finish and I rushed it a bit. The end result was still quite good.This particular vinyl has some texture to it, which I wasn't expecting so it has something of a wood feel to it. In fact it feels more like wood than the veneer it is covering!This is not thick vinyl so be careful not to stretch it inadvertantly.I think this product will work best on smooth, flat surfaces and the larger the area the more challenging it will be. This particular roll was wider than some available.I have a couple of more projects in mind now!

Good matt white finish. |Film can be manipulated around corners and edges. Thick enough to be durable, while still pliable.

Super great quick fix.

This contact paper is easy to use. It’s a little thin but durable enough not to tear. I bought matte white and it’s somewhat noticeable that there’s a dark surface underneath especially if compared to another “under-surface” that is white, but the result is still white. Hopefully that makes sense. It’s sticky enough even without using heat. Looks nice and is an inexpensive way to get a quick change for my decor. (On my old cabinet, not on the wall.)

Volevamo rinnovare la cucina senza spendere una follia... beh che dire.. ottima resa, stesura facile anche per neofiti.. qualche bolla qua e la nonostante molta attenzione nello stendere la pellicola, ma la trama effetto legno ha aiutato a celare i micro forellini fatti con una siringa per sgonfiare le bolle d'aria. Lavoro appena ultimato vedremo con il tempo come si comporterà. Lascio la foto pre lavori ( cucina verde ) e post ( bianca colore olmo nordico ).

Die Optik ist genau so wie wir es uns vorgestellt haben! Das Bekleben funktionierte ohne Probleme und das Endergebnis kann sich sehen lassen. Der Preis ist auch absolut in Ordnung, im Baumarkt müsste man wesentlich mehr bezahlen!
