Good rods
Got these cable access rods to replace old ones. Everything is identical although different name. Pack includes ten 1 m rods, hook, eye, and flexy. The tub that holds them has rather flimsy end caps as did my fist set, but used tape to wrap round them for strength and fully taped one end shut.Very useful and great addition to my tool set.I would recommendWell pricedCame well packed and on time

Flexible, robust and ideal
Purchased these rods in order to rewire a recent house purchase with. Found them easy to use, flexible, robust and ideal for feeding behind the plaster boarded walls to pull in new wiring circuits. Thought they were good value for money and a great addition to my tool box.

Pack could be better
Bought for threading cables, but came in handy for unblocking a vacuum cleaner. :)Seems to work well, but you do need to make sure you've tightened the joints. My main criticism is the storage tube: the tube itself is OK, but the end caps are ridiculously fragile; in fact, the set arrived with one already broken. I've had to reinforce them with gaffer tape.I'd rather spend 50p more and have a more robust storage tube.

Very useful kit
Excellent value for the money. This proved incredibly useful for feeding speaker cables behind some panelled walls (about 3m in total). One tip I can give is to use your smartphone as a camera. I removed a plug socket from the panel long and then used my phone to look at the gap between the panelling and the wall (about 1cm). Very useful with flash turned on and enabled me to check for blockages and see the progress of the cable access kit!

Draper cable rods - DIY or Professional ?
Needed to run an extra cable from garage to house via existing underground steel conduit (made of old scaffold tube). Took three attempts to get rods through due to existing heavy cable in-situ and tube bends. On first attempt rods got stuck and ended up with one of the brass ferrals snapping due to the brass crimped fittings having very thin walls. Fortunately, I was able to recover the rods and try again. As said previously, took three attempts but got there in the end. Conclusion, I'm not convinced the build quality will stand up to professional frequent use by an electrician, but for a one-off DIY project or occasional use the Draper rods are adequate. They are also significantly cheaper than true professional products. This probably accounts for the weak brass fittings.I own quite a few Draper products. I find in general they are cost effective purchases for a DIYer.

Really useful
I had struggled for sometime to feed a network cable through using a number of improvised items, wish I'd bought this beforehand. This went through the gap straight away, whole job done in 30mins.

Broke first time we used them
Absolute rubbish failed the first time we used them, leaving half the rods still in the ducting! It wasn't one single rod that failed, on one the head came completely off and on another the screw end just snapped in two.Maybe it was just a substandard set, but I won't be wasting my money again to find out!Update: Managed to get the rods out of the ducting but yet another head came off in the process, so that's 3 out of the 10 that have broken one the first job. Very poor indeed!

Great product perfect for running cables
Great product that works as intended for running cables.Used to run cables under floorboards as simple as screwing together attaching cable to rod. Pushing through gaps then grabbing at other end.Total time was 10mins to run 15 cables much easier than using wood sticks or whatever you can find. Seems like a god quality product that will last and even comes with container to keep. Also used to run BT phone line cable into loft rather than have running down the wall.A+ worth the £15

Un poco frágiles pero cumplen su trabajo.
Un poco frágiles, en mi caso les di un poco de cinta para sujetar mejor los cabezales.
