I chose this model because both compartments are individually adjustable for temperature so that both sides can be either a refrigerator or freezer. We took our first camping trip with it this week. It was nice that we were able to keep our foods cool without having to worry about melting ice or spoiled food.Before buying this, I had read reviews for other brands of refrigerators. Some brands had complaints of the power plug connector to the refrigerator getting too hot, so I paid special attention to this when I first hooked up the refrigerator. I can report that the Aobosi plug designs are very heavy duty and I had no overheating at all.The only downside is that the temperature display is not accurate. I had to set the temperature to 32 degrees to keep the temperature under 40 degrees. This is not a big issue as long as you check your temperature readings with a thermometer before you start using the refrigerator.One thing buyers should be careful about for the control app for smartphones is that the Android version is not in the Play Store. The Use App section on page 9 of the User Manual has two QR codes labeled IOS App download code and Android App download code with an image of the app icon to the right.The text says:Android System: Scan icon QR codeiOS system: Search for "Car Refrigerator" in the App storeWe kind of have an expectation that QR codes will go to the respective app stores. Well, if you read too quickly, you might think you can search for "Car Refrigerator" in either the Apple or Google app stores, but the Android app is not in the Google store. You have to scan the QR code to get the app from Aobosi's download page.There actually is a Car Refrigerator app in the Play Store, and the app icon looks similar, but it is a generic app made to work with various refrigerators, and it does not work with the Aobosi refrigerator.I tried 12 different phones and tablets trying to connect both with the wrong app and with Android system under Bluetooth device pairing. Fortunately my wife's phone was kind enough to inform us that the refrigerator requires an app to connect to it. Aobosi customer support also worked hard with me on the problem before we realized I had simply downloaded the wrong app. After installing Aobosi's app, the refrigerator connected immediately and everything worked correctly. The erroneous app has been renamed Cfridge which might help, but it is still the first search result if you are searching for Car Refrigerator in Play Store.So other than having to be careful about this, everything is great. I just want to give a special thanks to Aobosi customer support. They really went the extra mile to help me figure this out and did everything they could to help. They are very good people.

I was given an EA35 dual compartment refrigerator freezer for Christmas. We were under the impression that the compartments had separate controls and were missing a couple pages of the manual. We contacted customer support and they promptly sent the missing pages. We still didn’t understand how one control managed the refrigerator and the freezer. They answered back with a very thorough description of how the internal copper coils allowed each compartment to maintain the desired temperature settings. We had seen other brands that had totally separate controls and compartments that could be used alternatively for freezer, refrigerator or both and really wanted that feature. Again customer service came through with the suggestion of a 2 compartment model-the J42. A larger unit that had the desired totally separate controls. It is more expensive, but knowing the original budget they worked with us to find the best available price for the unit. The return of the ES35 was seemless and we received the new unit last week. Testing it out we found the manual controls convenient and easy to use. The app for your phone works easily also. It is a substantial, solid unit with heavy duty wheels and handle and a great 45 quart capacity. Setting the freezer to 0 degrees F and the refrigerator to 38 the unit came to temperature in about 1/2 hour using a 110 volt outlet. We found a couple degree variation in the refrigerator unit depending on thermometer placement but very acceptable. Although we didn’t use the car lighter 12volt charger, we are confident it will perform well based on all we tried. I usually want to talk to a person for any questions and find most emailed customer service wanting but they responded to each concern promptly and thoroughly. I highly recommend this product and their support team and look forward to warmer weather in upstate New York to test it out on our adventures. Mike Tetlow

Considerably more fan/compressor noise than my other no-brand portable refrigerator. Otherwise, it is a solid performer with good efficiency. It doesn't include any racks so one has to empty everything out piece by piece rather than simply lifting the rack out to clean, etc. I like the dual zone with separate lids but both compartments are small. I am keeping my old one that now doesn't regulate temp very well to manage overflow. I should have got the larger version. Still, a good buy if it lasts.

First thing you feel when you open the box is the bad bad smell.I can compare that smell to the situation where something like tires tobacco and plastic burned in one place and all the fumes smoked that travel refrigerator…. It smells so bad that even after treating it with washing solution and leaving on a fresh air for a day it still smells . I’m not sure if it’s safe to keep food inside as of unknown components it was made of . Really . It costs a lot of money and smells like wastefield being brand new product .

Same compressor and components as more expensive version. I use this EVERYDAY for work in the summer. It is a GAME CHANGER. Only pulls 50 watts. Can be run off jackery or 12v battery. I would buy this again all day long. Probably the best cooler ive ever purchased! I will say the handle fell off when I got the cooler... The rivets didnt hold and popped out... However I have a rivet tool and fixed the issue. could have used self tapping screws or other methods, but once reattached it holds up even when fully loaded. I probably have 4 months of constant runtime on this cooler at this time with no complaints. It runs off solar power and it draws very little. It will keep frozen goods frozen and drinks cold. controls work as described. It does not have the fit and finish of more expansive coolers, but It is essentially the same components in a cheaper shell. That doesn't bother me. Id rather buy 3 of these than have one yeti
