Jessica Jones Vol. 1: Uncaged

My first comic book experience of Jessica Jones did not disappoint. Grainy, gritty artwork put me in the mind of NYC in the French Connection, but also reminded me of the ''V' for Vendetta' palette by David Lloyd. I'm not up at all with the wider Marvel Universe developments which were referenced or sign-posted in the collection, but I never felt disadvantaged by this which to me was a fitting testament to Brian Bendis's writing.

Enjoyed the plot & art. Not sure how much sense it would make to people reading their first Marvel comic let alone Jessica Jones. Intriguing premise if perhaps struggling a little too hard to make it synch with the Netflix verse.

I haven't quite finished reading it but so far so good.

I got into Jessica Jones, like many, because of the Netflix show. Loved it all, especially Pulse.This was an excellent return to form. The artwork, the story, and the attitude.

Would recommend to all marvel fans

Big Jessica Jones fan so when Bendis comes back and does another run I am all over it. Art was great, solid story. If you missed out on the serial comic issues this is a good way to add them to your collection.This isn't a typical Marvel Superhero book though. Jessica Jones was, and is here, a drama. Dialogue is sparse in places without a bit wasted and there is very little hard action so be sure you know what to expect. Series is still ongoing as well.

Amazing read;. really sets yuou up for the what's coming. if you like the defenders, i recommend reading this.. Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Defenders are the only comics (from the defenders) worth reading.

This was a great read! If you've read alias, if you've only seen the Netflix show, or If you're just diving straight in, it's good stuff. This book dives in with Jessica in jail, it doesn't really matter why, just roll with it. The only info you need if your coming from Netflix is that Jessica Jones and Luke cage are married, and have a daughter. Great story that makes you angry at Jessica and cheer for her at the same time, lol. Getting the original team who did alias back together is an extra win, layout and art is amazing. Totally worth it, looking forward to more, thanks!

Fun read. A good mystery that kept me hooked till the end. Jessica jones is a great character
