BLACK+DECKER 2.4 Amp 5 in. Electric Random Orbit Sander (BDERO600)

This sander works great. I ordered a whole bunch of sanding discs for my old craftsman sander, but I realized that my old sander does not accept the hook and loop (velcro) like most sanders nowadays do. Since all I can seem to find easily is the hook and loop design, I decided to buy a new sander. I do not use a sander very often, but when I do I want to make sure it will hold up and work great. Black and Decker is a cheaper name, but still a well-known name so I bought this one. I can safely say that I am satisfied, especially for the price.I like how there isn't an on off switch. The whole top piece is the switch! This makes it so easy to turn on and off and you can also lock it on as well. This is an 8 hole sander and most sanders and discs seem to be 8 hole anyway. The only drawback I see and its not a huge deal, but it is a pain in the butt to totally clean out the dust collector. I was shaking the thing out forever and dust was still coming out. I ended up using my air compressor to clean it out and that seemed to work good. I have used this on some boards that I glued together and it worked well. I was sanding for maybe an half an hour each time I worked on my project and I have no complaints. It is a very simple and affordable sander and I would definitely recommend this to any DIYer.

El producto en sí es bueno, y fácil de utilizar, más con el accionador superior que tiene el cual facilita mucho su encendido y apagado, lo que no me agradó fue el empaque utilizado para su envío ya que era una simple bolsita y la caja de la pulidora llegó toda maltratada, supongo se debe también que fue enviada desde lejos, pero esperaba mejor protección o algo de protección.

I ordered this Black & Decker random orbital sander for my woodworking projects as a DIYer and a small time carpentry hobbyist. The build quality is solid and has a hefty weight to it. The sander works by pressing down on the paddle switch with your palm as you sand away. It doesn't have an actual switch and variable sanding speeds but the grip and ergonomics of the top allow for a long duration of sanding on small projects without much hand fatigue. There is a lock button so you don't accidentally turn it on when the top is pressed down, avoiding potential injuries and ruining projects. The dust collection system works well but not all particles get collected into the included dust bag. It uses the rotational force of the sander which acts like a fan inside to suck most of the dusts. Just like with any sanders, wearing a dust mask is advisable. I've used this sander numerous times now and the velcro used to attach 8-hole sanding discs still looks new and clings on the sanding discs perfectly. Just make sure to attach the sanding disks flush to the bottom so the velcro is not exposed when sanding which would lead to a significant amount of wear and tear. It comes with (1) 120 grit sanding disc but I recommend buying a variety of grits in case you want to speed up the sanding process or work finely (as the sander does not have variable speeds). Overall, this orbital sander by Black & Decker is an amazing and affordable tool to buy for any DIYers!
