Gale Force Nine Star Trek Ascendancy Borg Assimilation Board Games

Wow! What a great idea! Giving ST:A players both a SOLO MODE AND 2-PLAYER CO-OP MODE....against THE BORG! How can one go wrong!?!?! Thankfully, GF9 hit it out of the park on this one! The Borg are a hard-as-hell opponent to beat (as they should be)! The solo version of the game is fantastic fun (and very humbling), and takes about one hour for a seasoned player. That's the perfect length for this type of game.And the 2-player Co-Cop* (vs. the Borg)? Another homerun IMO. Making a Co-Op game of Star Trek: Ascendency has opened up this game to a myriad of possibilities for the future! I have players in my group who would never touch the base game very interested in a Star Trek themed Co-Op game! Who knew?* The Co-Op mode is a fan-made variant found on BGG. It works. Try it out.This makes me glad that I kept my copy of the base game. The robustness of the game system is very good to see and gives hop for even greater things in the future! The game is inching up to a 4-star game.

It adds yet another dimension to an already excellent game, making it so that you can play by yourself! The Borg are strong, but if you band together with the other players, or play well on your own, then you can overcome them.

ST:Ascendancy is by far the best of all the various ST-derived board games, with an interesting mechanic and a number of additional expansions to make it more fun to play. The Borg expansion allows single-play and a more complex, difficult mechanic to beat even in multiplayer games.

Das Addon ist supergemacht und man kann sogar die Schlacht um Wolf 359 nachspielen, da es eine Spacelane gibt, auf der das eingezeichnet ist.Ein absolutes Musthave für Ascendancybesitzer!!

esta expansion aporta al juego un aliciente brutal, ya que los borg asimilan las culturas de los jugadores llegandolos a destruir , y a mas poderosos son mas complicado tienes el derrotarlos, a los jugadores no les quedara otra que unirse y aun asi lo tendran dificil. Imprescindible

Questa espansione al gioco rende la partita molto imprevedibile ed è consigliata a giocatori con almeno 15 partite in tre/cinque(se si hanno le altre due espansioni al momento disponibili) persone alle spalle. Le regole sono in inglese come tute le espansioni e il gioco stesso per cui alcune regole sono interpretabili ed è meglio stabilirle prima con chiarezza, ci sono in rete valide traduzioni per il gioco base, difficile trovare quelle per questa espansione. le varie parti sono buone, mi pare di ricordare che ci sia anche una cosetta particolare in metallo. Era un regalo ed è un po' che non lo giochiamo.
