Maxpedition Noatak Gearslinger 5.5lt Backpack

Hard to review this fairly. It looks just like the picture, is very well made and has some great features. However, it is tiny. I can get an ipad in the pouch at the back but only just (my ipad has a thin leather case on to protect it) so much so that I put it in the main compartment where it fits perfectly. There is not room for much more then, a small book etc. If you carry very little this is really good, but for me perhaps just a little too small to be practical. I do not want a big bag but I do need one that holds a little more. If I was at Maxpedition I would have added just a couple of inches to the height of this to allow A4 size items - it would then be more practical all round. If I go anywhere with this bag with just a few items, I cannot add anything else whilst I am out - to me that limits the use of carrying a bag in the first place.

Arrived promptly and well packaged. This is a great bag. We travel a lot and go on many days out when at home. This bag is not too big and not too small. lots of pockets and all zips up securely. Have to be careful not to pack too much into it. I watched lots of reviews on You Tube and learned what all the toggles etc are for. I love the way I can carry it in front so I can access travel docs, train tickets, purse and other stuff in the bag. When walking around I make sure all the zips have been locked/secured and swing it around to my back. Easy Peasy. Room to thread my jacket thru the strap at the bottom or the Y Strap,fits my hat thru the webbing and my scarf leaving my hand free. This is a very versatile bag. Only thing is, being a woman, it is a bit bulky on my chest due to body shape, lol.

perfect edc bag. i even take it hiking when im going lightweight.fast delivery and top quality material. its actually really roomy for its size. and the bottle holder has a drainage hole so even if your bottle leaks it doesn't get your gear wet. i especially liked the deploy-able stabilizing strap with the whistle buckle, took so much strain off my neck and back and makes this model what it is. nice product from a great company, 5 stars.

Excellent quality - well thought out - pockets can be accessed without taking off your shoulder. Expensive - but built to last a lifetime. Very comfortable to wear - I travel by bus a lot - this just swing round and sits on your knee where you can access the pockets. Quick release buckle if you have to take it off in a hurry.

I do like this. Its many pockets and compartments make it well-suited to carrying smaller items as well as a few bulkier items. It is supremely practical because it rotates from its on-back carrying, vertical position to an in-front, horizontal access position, so that one may access all compartments without aging to take it off.
