Surprisingly Happy with this One
A lot is right about this stool. It has absolutely no wobble and is quite sturdy. It is wider than I expected– 16" across on top– which makes it easier for me to balance by placing my hand on the top as I'm climbing up and down. It is light weight enough I can lift it despite my small size and back issues. The steps fold in and out smoothly and are also nice and wide.I debated whether to get the medium or the lighter wood against my oak flooring. I went with the lighter, thinking the contrast would be more interesting. I kind of wish I had gone with the medium but the light wood is very nice. The finish looks to be polyurathane rather than varnish. While this will hold up better against water spills than varnish, I tend to prefer varnish. That said, it is nonetheless a very well done professional finish, not a bubble anywhere and polished to perfection.Assembly was not a problem. I put it together myself. However, it took some thinking to figure out where the taped felt parts were supposed to go, so I'm including some pics for the next gal or guy. Though I have never needed to us it, there is a safety latch that you can swing out to abut the middle step and prevent the steps from folding out. Therefore the step with the felt is the middle step, not the bottom. This also makes a nice stool to sit on if you turn the steps to the back. It comes in handy when strategically placed. I'm very glad I did not get the shorter two step options I was looking at, as this is much more versatile. I may have to get the medium wood one too.

Beautifully made... attractive... safe... and not difficult to assemble
I bought this Step Stool in spite of some very critical reviews on this site. All of the criticism was about assembly and lack of proper pre-drilled holes. I received mine just before noon today and the first thing I want to mention is the quality of packing for shipping. The stool is manufactured in Viet Nam. The quality is outstanding! The packaging for shipment was the best I've ever seen. Styrofoam padding, Styrofoam sheets, plastic wrapping and heavy glued and taped cardboard. The hardware was blister packed and perfectly described and identified. The assembly instruction sheet is excellent except for one detail.... not mentioning the bumper pads on the bottom front of the seat... and the bumper pad on the latch side of the bottom step. (check photos for better understanding)All Pre-drilled holes matched perfectly. I am 72 years old and am mechanically inclined. The assembly total.... took an hour and one half. It would have taken about an hour if the bumper pad placement had been addressed on the instruction sheet. Because it was not mentioned, I took about 30 minutes to figure out what the bumper pads did. Also in assembly step 2, I did a tap hole in each end of the "long rod" that the lower and middle step swivel on. This was not necessary... but just made it easier to secure the rod correctly.I took these pictures right after assembly and have not even dusted the stool off yet. I have sat on it, my wife sat on it, we both used both steps testing the reach to our highest cabinets. The stool is not only beautifully made.... it is simply beautiful. It is very solid and we are totally impressed with the quality and value at the Amazon price. We looked in many stores locally to find a product like this and could find nothing that was anywhere near the quality of this stool.I would not hesitate to trust any Boraam product after this one and I would recommend this one highly to anyone needing an attractive Stool/Step Stool that is both Safe and Beautiful. Ladder is good value purchase so long as user has tools to correct 2 issues
First, I read all of the reviews, and I was hesitant to purchase this ladder. However, the size and price were right, and it does have a nice finish to it, so I figured that even though the directions are basically meaningless, I should be able to figure out how to put together a three step ladder. I mean, come on, how hard can it be. I am not sure why previous reviewers say the holes do not line up because I had no issue with the holes being close enough in alignment to be able to insert the screws. And actually, I prefer holes to be slightly off center as this often allows a tighter more secure fit once the screw are fully inserted. The 2 biggest problems I had were 1) the pilot holes to attach the tall side supports to the top step and the cross support beams did not appear to have been drilled deep enough (the width was fine) as I bent the first screw trying to force it in with the allen wrench. This problem was solved with taking out my drill and a 13/64 drill bit and pushing it through about a 1/4 of an inch. Maybe a metric bit would have been better, but I only have american bits so that was that. The screw thereafter could be inserted with the allen wrench with heavy pressure but no damage to the screw. The second issue I had was attaching the tops of the 2 small steps as I could not get any pressure on the screw given the height restrictions and the wood is very hard and I do not have an angled hand drill. I solved this issue with taking a 9/64 drill bit and carefully drilling at a 45 degree angle directly into the pre-drilled hole, but making sure not to punch through both pieces. Since this attachment is located on the bottom of the ladder, I wasn't too worried about the appearance. See picture attached. After doing these 2 things, the ladder fit together nicely. I am going to be using it quite sparingly to I am not worried about it standing up to daily abuse. I will say the wood appears to be very solid with a nice finish on it so there is no need to keep it hidden. I am not sure it really deserves 4 stars given I had to re-engineer 2 parts as described above but I gave it the benefit of the doubt in light of the quality of the wood and the price.

Great little step stool
Took me about half an hour to put together. The instructions were straightforward, but you will need a screwdriver (not included). Good enough for me and looks far better in the kitchen than ugly metal ones.

The stool itself is very nice. However it was extremely hard to get together since many of the screw holes had not been drilled deep enough and the cheap screws that were included could not be driven in without bending. I had to buy new self tapping screws to finish the construction.

The step stool is very nice quality to look at once it is put together
The step stool is very nice quality to look at once it is put together. Putting this piece together is extremely difficult!!! It required all holes to be re-drilled. On any holes that were not re-drilled the screw fasteners were broken and had to be replaced with something else. This piece should be sold assembled or there should be an extensive improvement in the assembly process!
