Pills too thick. Are they chewable or not?

These tablets are as hard as a rock. I fear my teeth will break first trying to chew down on them. These tablets are the hardest chewable tablets I have ever encountered. In addition to this, they are way overpriced. Since two tablets are required, there is only 15 servings at this very high price, making them hardly financially practical for people that need something for recurrent heartburn or reflex, etc.As an alternative, you can suck the tablets instead of chewing them, of course, but doing so will take a long time to finish them as they dissolve quite slowly.The taste isn't bad, but it truly doesn't taste like carrot cake, as advertised.And finally, the amount of sodium alginate, at just 50 mg. per tablet, is way too small to be all that effective. Compare this to another popular product from the UK, also sold here at Amazon, which has 500 mg of alginate per tablet. Alginate creates a "raft" that prevents the acid from being able to rise up out of your stomach.

I see this brand often advertised and wanted to try. I don't have bad indigestion often but sometimes you need something. These work very well to give comfort even when it doesn't feel like I'm having indigestion but apparently, I am.The tablets are very hard. Unusually hard, imo. But chewing them with my back teeth is manageable. Chewing them into a paste before swallowing, I suppose siliva helps activate something important before going into the esophagus. Followed with water. I felt the effects almost immediately.The taste is very much carrots and pie spices. Pleasant. No complaints.However, I don't usually point out the cost factor unless it seems really unreasonable. And here I have to mention it. This is for 15 servings. I'm not saying it isn't a quality supplement, it is. That's easy to see and taste and feel it's intended effects but it's expensive.

These chew tablets are extremely hard. I wasn’t able to chew them so I tried the alternative method given on the bottle which was to let it dissolve. It wasn’t working well. The flavor is almost non existent. Having tried their other products previously I had high expectations for these tablets. I was truly disappointed with them. I don’t know if they would help with heartburn since trying to actually take them was too much of a hassle.
