The description of this left me wondering if I had to have a Corsair hub to connect this.As per the headline the answer is no. It can connect direct to your motherboard 3 pin ARGB header.It also comes with a small hub of it's own powered by a SATA power connector. However it's not needed .I connected mine via a motherboard ARGB 3 pin header connected to a splitter cable.The 24 pin ARGB power cable is very flexible and well made.The LED's are very bright. It's the brightest thing in my case which is probably the only criticism I have about this.Colours are vibrant and match my other argb kit.Photos are a before and after but they are obviously the wrong way round

Great product good guide but one thing to not is that this device uses a 3-pin connector, so (i have a corsair led controller for my other fans) the three pin does not fit in this.I have used the alternative RGB header it comes with to connect to my motherboard using the JRAINBOW header which when paired with a piece of software called OPENRGB, i can control the lights really nicely. Note: When setting this up using openRGB it will ask you for a size to help the software understand how many LEDS it can control to display the lights correctly. Make sure you set this to 128 to get all the lights working nicely. Have fun

Really easy to install, works great with Corsair software, nice and bright and colouful RGB, great value for money, not too stiff nice and flexible, whats not to like 😎

Arrived on time,great product,I control with commander core XT

Just installed in my pc, works well, took no less than half an hour to install and it didn’t take any finicky configuration to work. If I had a motherboard capable of controlling the RGB through software I’d like it a lot more but it’s still an easy 5 stars

Great product easy to fit and connect to corsair lightning nod pro. As you can see it fits in well with the other corsair products.

Opened box and took the extension cable out, the item itself looked the part. There was a bit of weight to it and flexible enough to bend around any case...From past experience with led lights I now always test before I fit them into the pc case.This time it was a good job I did. Connected the argb connection to my 5v 3pin hub only to find half the lights lit up. I was impressed with the way the lights lit up but unfortunatly the bottom set in the strip didn't light up (apart from a small cm at the start)If the item I received worked 100% the score would have been 5☆Seems these don't work with asrock motherboards, but I connected it to 5v 3pin fan light hub that relies on being powered by a sata connection and that didn't work.

It's actually really good, managed my expectations but its actually really good. Brightest thing in my case.

Excellent product, works with perfect iCUE.

I absolutely love this! You can see how truly bright it shines in the photo with all of the lines lit up. It can easily be configured in the Corsair software I use for the fan configuration, too. I need to buy one of these bad boys for my gpu next lol

nice lighting easy to integrate to icue

This has perfect integration with Corsair ICUE. I want the least amount of bloatware running on my PC. The Lian Li V2 needs its own hub and software....this plugs right into my node and is controlled with ICUE. Quality is as good as Lian Li while also cheaper!!

The media could not be loaded. Worth the money. Although it cannot improve the Pc's performance, it improve the look of the pc!
