Great intermediate semi-professional chipper
Assembly is definitely a two person job. The product comes in a sealed pallet (standard size) with plywood protective walls encasing the disassembled chipper. Unpacking the chipper parts from the protective pallet required pliers and hammer. Wear good thick gloves - protect your hands from splinters and when you unfold the metal plates used to keep the plywood walls in place. The plywood walls come apart in a logical order and if you take time to study the packaging you will see the best way to take them off. The chipper comes in three main parts (Main body with engine and chipping barrel/blades, input hopper and output spout) plus the axel and wheels, output spout directional fitting and a bag with the requisite tools and nuts, bolts and washers. The pictures on the instructions do give a general guide but with not much detail, so you need to think about each assembly step and plan it carefully. The opportunities for trapping fingers during assembly are frequent! We actually used an engine lift to raise the main body to put the axel and wheels on but two people could lift it and place it on blocks. Once the axel and wheels are on things get a whole lot easier. Make sure when you are fitting all the other bits you ensure that you place the bolts washers and nuts correctly. Ironically the only thing I have had to fix so far were factory fitted bolts on the exhaust box and protective cage that worked themselves loose (the machine inevitably vibrates a lot, so be aware of nuts and bolts becoming loose). Be careful with the battery and the protective plastic box, it only fits one way and I found it took a bit of patience and perseverance to find out how it fitted, it would be too easy to force things and rip out essential wiring from the engine - so be careful.Starting - For me, the battery came without enough charge to start the engine, so having persevered to get it fitted properly onto the machine, I had to take it off again to get it charged up. I would recommend putting it on a charger out of the box to make sure it is fitted onto the machine with a full charge - so you only have to fit it once! That being said, it did give me chance to use the manual pull cord starter mechanism that actually worked very well. To use the electric starter, ensure enough engine oil is in the engine, the fuel tank is full of petrol, the fuel tap is in the "on" position, have half throttle open, and I have found you need choke on, even if the engine is warm. Then use the key to start and as soon as the engine catches, be ready to bring the choke back to the "off" position and throttle back to near idle to enable the engine to warm up without being under strain. After a couple of minutes I throttle up to full and start chipping. At least that is how I do it.I have found that the chipper produces nice sized wood chips that I use for mulching young trees and I have not had to change any of the factory chip size settings. Despite what is said about the maximum diameter that this chipper will take, I have found that 7 - 8cm is OK and any more that that I would feel is pushing it too much. In any case that is when you are getting to minimum fire wood log size so that works out OK for us. Be careful when you put in branches that have a fork, first you may find it difficult to feed into the hopper, second you could stall the engine at full throttle if you have a couple of thick branches going through at the same time, which will not do the machine any good. Best to separate them first before feeding them in. I have found wearing a proper forestry helmet with visor and ear protectors and good thick gloves essential while operating this machine. I have found this to be an excellent wood chipper, it is a serious machine so you have to treat it with respect and care, but I have used it extensively over the last month since I bought it, and, so far, I am very happy with it.

Robust, easy to assemble and operate
It is easy to operate this 'heavy' machine and can require assistance to move on uneven ground A small tractor lawn mower should be sufficient. With such machines, of all makes, it is important to wear safety gear. They can spit back wood straight into your face. My wife and I wear arborist helmets, leather gloves and strong glasses and they are needed. My machine had scratching on the intake funnel from transit but, no great shakes. It is adequate to perform its task with ease. Very noisy though and the panels and nuts and bolts are not Hyundai car standard. But, they don't need to be. Very worthwhile machine.

Great chipper
Really sturdy chipper. Makes quick work of hedge thinning. Quick delivery. I had a problem with the original battery but was extremely pleased with the quick response from Genpower who sent a replacement the next day free of charge. Great service.

Old Stock Beware
Arrived with a flat battery, a big scrape down the chute and nearly all bolts showing signs of corrosion. Obviously been sat in a damp warehouse for a long time.Customer service would not authorise a replacement and collection for old meaning it would have to be de-fuelled & de-oilled and dis-assembled back in a crate on a pallet. Engine weighs over 170kg so no mean feat to achieve. All could be prevented if it was checked before dispatch especially when you’re spending this sort of money. Will not be buying Hyundai products again.

A good machine, but a little top heavy for the wheelbase
This is a good medium duty chipper. The wheelbase means you can get it through smaller access but it is top heavy and I'm wary when towing with my quad because my land is uneven.I would like to be able to extend the wheelbase and will probably modify it to make it more stable to fit my needs.

Great Chipper
Very impressed with this chipper. Deals with branches up to 3 inches with no problems. Can go a bit thicker but I tend to use those for logs for our wood burner.
