Works as expected, requires installing driver from Github
This adapter works correctly. I was able to download a Linux driver off Github and get it installed. This is not a casual, user-friendly process; developers and sysadmins are the intended audience for this product.Meshtastic does not support this device

I have not figured out how to get AT Command Responses
The software I found, SSCOM5, that is supposed to support this, allows sending of AT commands to its serial port. However, the response comes back garbled as if possibly in a non ASCII character set (possibly Chinese characters). Further, it does not appear that AT commands sent from SSCOM5 to this device are getting a response at all. I expect to see OK (or garbled equivalent) and if I send AT+ADDR=? I am expecting to see an address report. But there is no difference in the response at all.I also tried the same operations from an Arduino IDE serial monitor. I get the same kind of garbled response.I find it difficult to get any information on this device, other than a lot of sites selling it. I do not know if the device I received is broken or if I am simply using it wrongly. I have been attempting to use Windows for this.I may next try using Linux with some kind of custom driver. I am giving it three stars based on features and build. I'm not too thrilled at the moment.I purchased it too long ago to return it. So that's on me.Any info on things I should be trying, like maybe the reset button, are welcome. Thanks

Preiswerter Einstieg ins LoRa-Netz
